matthew berry tends to agree that DEN could be a good play this week. you just think DEN D is bound to fall back down to earth or too many offensive weapons for SD?
I guess it depends on scoring, but in my league, SD is bottom 5 in DEF/ST. Their best games were against the worst of offenses (Miami, Jets, KC, and only one of those were in SD), and still the score was average, low teens. Even with a TD return from Donald Butler the highest score I see is 14 points. Divisional games can end up being real shootouts, and SD is near last in points allowed, sacks, and 3rd down defense. Meanwhile Von is on his way to a DROY, Dumervil has a sack streak, and we've seen what Kam Wimbley can do to that SD line.
I'm seriously considering benching Ryan Mathews. He just has so much against him. Rarely gets goal line carries, Norv Turner never runs the ball and Tolbert is in nearly every passing play. And when he does get carries he gets hurt. It's like a triple threat of badness. I don't have much better options and on the off chance that he breaks one you might get production from him. My team is just a big mystery right now.
I mean Laurent Robinson looks like ****ing T.O. out there. This is ridiculous. I always thought that dude had potential as far back as his Atlanta days opposite Roddy White. Definitely looking like the fantasy Brandon Lloyd of 2011.
