That is so unbelievably gay, not that there is anything wrong with that, but I want you to know that it is gay. It's gay. I want you to know that it is gay, not that there is anything wrong with that.

On the PC you choose the Shout and click R to activate it. Not sure about console.

I've spent literally all day with the focus on improving my enchanting, which is up to 80 something now. Its a cash cow and at first I was going into dungeons and collecting as many weapons to enchant as I could but have now found it easier to just buy materials and blacksmith out a bunch of iron daggers. The most time consuming part is getting the soul gems. I'm venturing out to the wilds with a soul trapping bow, and since I'm a mage character have to try to blast elk 20 ft. away as they run from the initial arrow. Has anyone gotten to 100 enchantment and been able to make one of the spell classes 100% mana free?

You should go see the greybeards. Won't advance the main quest too far and it would be beneficial to you.

I've done eight Deadric quests so far. The Black Star, Dawnbreaker and Masque of Clavicus Vile are musts.

Some are really short quests. This surprised me.

I've noticed one modder has some good stuff. Best one I saw was for higher quality water:
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=711
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WGXZeYR4r_w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

isoku has also done work for fire, rain, and sun glare:
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=603
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=836
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=680

Some random other mods I thought looked good:
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=141 (Flora overhaul)
    http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=280 (Higher Quality Food)

There are lots of texture packs, but still kind of hit or miss on those IMO.

The latest Steam update apparently replaced the launcher, which breaks one of the "fixes" that was being applied before for Skyrim (basically making the game "large address aware"). I think some unmodified versions of the file can be downloaded online in case you accidentally updated. AFAIK, that's the only thing the patch did, so if you haven't updated, I'd avoid doing so.

Also, not really a big deal (some sites are overreacting I think), but some of the other "lands" (e.g., Morrowind) are in the game:

I'm melee and going for maximum damage, but I got my smithing and enchanting up to 100 (I'm at 80 alchemy now and grinding to 100 for crafting bonus potions).

Best way to level enchanting is to fast travel between whiterun and the college of winterhold. If you go to the Halls of Countenance (at the CoW), there are 3 or 4 vendors in there that sell filled petty gems. You can also steal a ton of soul gems in the college at night time while everybody is sleep. Be sure to get the Absorb Health enchant and enchant/improve your iron daggers with that. It's a really nice money maker or you will at least come close to break even while grinding. Be sure to also make Potions of Barter so you can sell your stuff for more. I also buy some petty gems from the mage in Dragonsreach. Make sure you have the Mage Stone activated so you get a boost to leveling as well.

I'll try to post pictures of my armor and weapons once I'm done with my Alchemy grind. I'm going to craft a set of armor strictly for alchemy/smithing.

Currenty sitting at: 100 Enchanting, 100 Smithing, 80 Alchemy, 92 2-handed, 60 Heavy Armor. My perk points are spent for max crafting, damage and armor class. I'll enchant my armor with full 2 handed weapon damage, health and stamina regen (because swinging a big a$$ 2-handed mace makes you tired!).

I'll also use an archer follower and craft him a set of +archery damage/health gear and a crazy damage bow.

Just got to 100 enchanting this morning and got the 100% reduction in destruction! I don't see how my guy will ever die now that I can just blast at will

Wow..I just walked into a Giant's camp with me and my flame atronach, took down 2 giants and 2 Mammoths without ever getting touched. This is probably the biggest built in "cheat code" I have ever seen in a game

Just wondering why this game is only 5GB but holds hundred hours of game play? Is this something like Minecraft but with a mission? Will you have a sidekick tagging alone with you? I'm so damn use to having sidekicks with me in the Bioware games and love their companionship. Still finishing Dragon Age Origins which is 10GB with DLC and I'm falling in love with it like I did with Mass Effect 2. Might head right over to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim since by the look of it Dragon Age 2 look very disappointing with non of my favorite returning characters. Will probably start Mass Effect and replay Mass Effect 2 after The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I'm going to mod and replace skin texture the hell out of this game like I did to Dragon Age Origins. Makes the game look much much better with my GTX580. I plan on playing the human and the default human version of Skyrim look pretty hideous. I like the aesthetic look to my female human that I'm playing.

This is what I was saying was one of the only knocks on the game so far - it's too damn easy (at least from what i've seen through level 14 and as a pure mage/destruction). If it gets boring, you can always crank up the difficulty level in the options.

So, I started as a Redguard (I'm pretty sure I mentioned that already, but whatever), and I've basically been mowing through people. Just whipping everybody that has come against me like they weren't even there.

I get to the point where they tell me to go visit the Greybeards, but I decide to do quite a few side quests first, and I complete them with relative ease with my sidekick (already forgot her name...).

I accidentally kill my companion while I'm battling some bandits in a cave because she decided to jump in front of me while I was setting everyone on fire.

At that point, I just say "To hell with it, I'll go back and visit the Greybeards." My guy is at about Level 9 overall.

Since then, I've gotten my ass kicked by a Giant, an Old Orc (I've beaten one of them before, but not this time), a Frostbite Spider (three times), and some random bandit that came out of nowhere.

I never realized how much a companion can help until I lost mine.

The thing that pisses me off is that companions do not level with you. The moment you meet a companion his/her level is locked in.
No wonder. I was wondering why my companions were getting one-hitted.

I think I'm going to go no companion from this point on. The spells I cast have massive splash damage and Lydia always gets in the way. She doesn't like that and I either contribute to her almost dieing every battle or one time she actually turned on me. They are extremely useful in carrying extra gear though

So, has anyone actually completed the main quest? I've actually been doing some work on it, but I'm wondering if you can continue playing after you finish it?
