Sorta like how Adam Morrison was the Larry Bird of the 2006 NCAA Tourney, right?

Ok, I am someone who thinks Adam morrison si good, I think he could've done better in hte league with more chances after his rookie year even. But he is a one trick pony, he has awkward mechanics but he can score, but that is it.

Larry bird averaged OVER and close to in some years/categories 20-10-5 and does a bit of everything and can dominate many aspects. There are so many players who are like morrison who can drop 20 btu thats it, other than him being white, I don't get the morrison comparasions

Larry Bird averaged 24-10-6 on 50% shooting for his ENTIRE NBA CAREER! And, no, I don't even have to look that up.

The only thing that held Morrison back was his injury. The skill was and is there. People just counted him out because he was buried at the end of the Laker bench for so long. Sucks when people, for whatever reason, give someone the "bust" label so early in their career. I mean come on, the guy was seriously injured.

Thabeet is a bust. If you are going to spend your 2nd pick in a draft, you better be getting a superstar or at least a serviceable player.

None of which apply to Thabeet...err...Thabust.

Yea, with league pass I followed his first year. The stats show he shot in the 30s, btu even lebron shot 41 percent and durant shot even low, it is their rookie year.

but I saw flashes of genius, some games when the coach would just trust him. He could miss his first four shots but then go off. I saw him drop 30/27 very efficiently on bruce bowen when bruce was in his prime. He just couldn't do anything against adam's awkward shots. He is one of those guys you have to trust him and let a scorerer keep shooting, unfortunately the leash was tight on him since he wasn't a traditional athlete, had the media getting on him about being all around. This game is about putting the ball in the bucket via assists, drive or whatever and that is what he did. Then he had an ACL tear and larry brown to yank on him for every second of a mistake. Under a different coach and development, he could've done more, plain and simple

Blame Memphis, not Thabeet. If he would have been picked 10 or higher, we would not be having this discussion today. Because he would'nt have been scrutinized like he is today. IIRC, there were some comments, on draft day, that he may have been chosen too early in the draft.

This is the only reason why Morrison got called the next Larry Bird, he was white, lanky and scored a ton. Bird scored a lot of points, but really the other two guys in the Big 3 are extremely good scorers as well. It was all the other stuff Larry did that made him a legend, from his d, playmaking and the almost psychic on-court awareness. A lot of people could see his bust coming a mile away though, although he scored a lot he wasn't very efficient even in college, he bricked a ton of shots but MJ was being lazy and didn't even look at his fg%.

The guy was never efficient even when he was healthy. A subpar 38 FG% with absolutely nothing in any other department to make up for his inefficient scoring (which by the way, was supposed to be his strength and what he was drafted for).

And its really simple, even if Adam Morrison has the skills, he cannot compete physically. Matters are made worse since he has diabetes, unfortunately.

He's doing great over there, so why come back to the NBA where he will most likely be bench fodder?

He was clearly unhappy in his time with the Lakers. You could tell in the interviews and even during the games when he was on the bench.

17 PPG and playing zero defense on one of thw worst teams in the Adriatic league (mediocre league in Europe) is not what I would call "doing great".

Good to see David Simon, who has never made an NBA roster, former stalwart center of the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus Mastodons - absolutely destroying the competition in one of Europe's * top * leagues.

I hear he has a clause in his contract which allows him an extra ration of yogurt if he breaks 20 ppg for the season.

Looks healthier than he ever did on US soil. Good for him. Don't compare race by race only bs... Bird is on another level.. Looking at 100 hrs of Bird's play footage and not even a guys like Lebron or Dirk can compare.

Zvezda should be doing better in the Adriatic League, they are not so bad.
Mediocre league? I don't think so.

    Euroleague
    Spanish League
    United League
    Greek League
    Italian League
    Eurocup

All better leagues than Adriatic and I will argue even Russian League is also. So yeah, being the 6-7 best league in Europe, is definitely very mediocre.

Red Star Belgrade isn't a bad team. Neither is Partizan.
