You need to cheer for LSU, not Ark if you want UH to have a slim chance to play in the title game. It will take every AQ program having 2 losses (except LSU) for UH to get a chance at the #2 ranking.
here's the rice win: W 73-34 Passing: C. Keenum (HOU) - 534 YDS, 9 TD, 1 INT Receiving: P. Edwards (HOU) - 7 REC, 318 YDS, 5 TD
As long as America knows who is the real champ im fine i don't need any crystal balls to validate our season
It only rained for part of the game. Majority of the stats came in drier weather. While it was raining, Keenum had a couple of slips with the football. And don't forget the rain during the Armed Forces Bowl 2 years ago. Keenum threw 6 INTs.
uh in the national championship game wouldn't need the craziest set of upsets. bama plays a ranked rival, ark loses to lsu, vatech has two more including clemson, stanford may have two more as well. of course i think i'm missing a team, but that's not all that far-fetched.
While the premise (teams losing) isn't all that far-fetched, the end result (UH vs LSU) is pretty far-fetched. I can only imagine how many BCS wonks' heads would explode if that were to come to pass.
It didn't rain during the Armed Forces Bowl it was just cold it didn't start raining until the game ended.
All the Coog doubters are coming out of the woodwork now! Hearing it on the radio and making it sound like Tulsa is LSU North. I can't wait for our guys to win and shut these guys up on Monday. Wonder if we'll move into the top 5 since Tulsa is such a bad matchup for us.
A question for UH fans. Would you prefer a scenario where UH get to the finals and get absolutely crushed? Or that they play a lesser opponent in a BCS bowl but someone they actually have a chance against? I don't think the former is all that preferable given their likelihood of getting crushed against LSU.
It was announced that if Southern Miss won out then the game would be at Reliant. But they lost so it will be at the Rob now.
Hard to say. The money is what's most important to me. But if you let me choose between a for-sure ass kicking in the national title game vs. a legit chance to win a different BCS game, I'd probably go with the latter.
Just searched and found nothing. I'm guessing that was just a rumor, or something that never got finalized/off the ground.
You could be right. Heard/Read it from multiple places though. It is a moot point anyways since Southern Miss lost to UAB. I wanted them to be ranked in the teens for that game.
