Jags D hurting The Jags D will be quite a bit different this go round. Rashean Mathis gone... Clint Session placed on IR yesterday. No word on his status yet, but starting DE Matt Roth left the Cleveland game and did not return. Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton has missed two straight with an ankle sprain. Texans 'O' should push around this injured crew.
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/30943/with-session-done-allen-steps-in-for-jaguars Russell Allen (LB) joining the starting lineup for Jax http://jacksonville.com/sports/foot...book-no-updates-injury-status-matt-roth-clint Knighton (DT) seems doubtful, and Roth (DE) and Rutland (CB) seem possible. Looks like Middleton and Cox will be drawing straws for duty on AJ. Coincidentally, both are third year 25 year olds. I suppose I should like Cox a tiny bit since he's a fellow William & Mary Tribe guy. Jags in danger of a TV black out. Gabbert has not had a QB Rating of 80 or higher in the past 5 games. He's only done that once as a starter, and still lost the game. We handed him his worst of the year (27). The Colts are the only team that allowed him to complete 60+% of his passes as a starter. Should be a good game for Manning to return and find a rhythm. MoJo has gone for 100+ yards only 3 times this year, and two of those were the hapless Colts and the porous Panthers. Strangely, the third was the supposedly stout Ravens. He only has 5 TDs on the year. This is, by far, the worst offense in the league. 250 total yards a game, trailing even the Colts (276) by a solid margin. Their 129 passing yds a game could best be spun as a throwback to 1960's football. They barely edge the Rams to avoid being the lowest scoring team in the league. Their -55 points differential is 7th worst in the NFL. Division games are your best place to look for stunning upsets every week. Jags are at home. But I don't see us taking it easy - the Schaub injury is motivation enough for the team to come out taking nothing for granted. Should the Jags be at half-strength defensively while our Line is coming off a bye and Johnson has had the luxury of coming back a couple weeks later than he could....it's tough to see a loss happening. Maybe we're worried about Leinart....but even if he is still a 75-QBR guy, that trumps Gabbert.
Huh, so basically they lost everybody on defense, and their offense is flat horrible. I guess the football gods gave us a mini offseason (bye) and preseason (JAX) to get Leinart ready for his mini season. Which hopefully leads to a full postseason.
this bye week has taken forever, so it seems. I have all the confidence in that kid matt to battle when real bullets start flying. We take this game 49 to 7. Everybody will complain that Houston was not able to punch it in from the 5 yard line with 1:30 to go in the game, thus lacking the killer instinct.
The ONLY thing that worries me about this game is the revenge factor. They really hate us and will most likely be as fired up for this game as any other game this season. That being said... Texans 24 Jags 6
Texans 17 Jags 13 Leinart throws for 235 yards and a TD. 1 int, no fumbles. Foster runs for 115 and a TD and has 65 receiving. Tate runs for 70.
As far as actual game play has gone, the Jags may be our biggest on-field rival. The fans are more concerned with the Titans and Colts, but these games have been chippy for years. http://jacksonville.com/sports/foot...s-notebook-jabs-traded-texans-over-dirty-play http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/11/02/more-evidence-of-dirty-play-in-jaguars-texans-game/ So the guy most heated up is on IR, and another guy that was riled up may be out. That could help us avoid some retaliatory cheap shots. Last thing we need is injuries.
I doubt if anything like that would happen. Especially after all the big deal that was made of the supposed "dirty plays" after the last game between these two teams. Everyone will be keeping an eye open for those "extracurricular activities". Go Texans!! Texans - 37 Cryin' Kitties - 6
Boat raced. Texans 31 Kittens 10 #1 defense & top rb combo hands down in the league. Leinart wont have to do much in this one. Next week vs the Falcons should tell us a little more.
NFL FILMS Preview to the game. http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d82464a96/Week-12-Texans-vs-Jaguars-Preview GO TEXANS!!!
I'm finally convinced this Texans team is no longer the team of the past that would find a way to lose this game. I see the Texans completely crushing the Jags with their killer D and the offense rallying around Leinart to pull out a 20+ point win. I'm thinking Texans 24 Jags 3.
need to win. Leinart doesn't have to impress me in this game but he needs to be able to not turn the ball over. Hopefully we'll get this W. Feels like it's been forever since we've had a game. Go Texans!
Upon further reflection, just keep Jacoby Jones out of the mix as much as possible and we can't help but win. Only the Texans can beat the Texans in this game.
