Drowner-a studio only project from Houston. Some very nice sounds, C. Twins, Lush and Curve come to mind. http://soundcloud.com/drowner Wonder if they need a real drummer?
Is it just me, or is this song really really good. I've always thought Lacey Brown had the ability to paint a picture with her words. I think the bridge could have been handled better, but I think lacey is just one hit song away from super stardom. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bcEtIGjTcPA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Another one from Lacey. She is doing it the right way. I am not her spokesmen or anything, but her songs are right up my alley. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/xU0AWda63Bo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I've been so into Astronautalis lately. Any of you guys ever listened to his stuff? He likes to categorize himself as "historical fiction hip hop". I saw him at Fitz's 3 weeks ago for the 2nd time and he is so great live. He's starting to get some love from MTV Iggy though so get in before everyone knows him. Check out these songs, off his latest album which was released a few months ago. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4N4YeNYbU5I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ib8kvZxpoTs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
One of my new faves found just based on their stupid band title. (I do buy CDs that way sometimes, even without checking on youtube first.) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FBymTi3WTm0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
BOO!! C'mon on moe, I just don't understand the hate here for Foster the People. They aren't any worse, IMO, than The Killers or MGMT.
