That kind of thinking is why our economy is in the toliet. instant gratification...highly depreciable asset and don't forget taxes...if he gets injured, he's left with a ride he can't afford...

That makes sense now. I was lol'ing at the fact 10 people were needed to buy a Lamborghini including "personal life coach" John Lucas.

That short guy in between Rose and Parsons used to work for Momentum I think.

Just because Parson is there doesn't mean he's buying a Lambo. He's probably there just to chill and hang out with Rose or something. I mean you never went to a dealership with a friend before? I mean if he's in the NBA, its nice to go out and look at one and dreaming that you will eventually own one too someday.

Oh I see, a handful of guys making 600k per year spending 1/3 of that on a lambo is what has caused the global recession.

Houston has got to be the worst place to own a luxury sports car. The freakin' roads are terrible, many of the highways have cracks, many of the roads inside the loop have potholes and bumps and are in piss poor condition.

FWIW if you buy a super high end car then they don't depreciate too much if you don't drive them that much.

Wow, pretty crazy if so. They should at least throw in one of those cassette-to-discman converters so you can play CD's.

So, by your logic, someone making 600k per year doesn't pay taxes?

THIS I guess the people that are making 60k a year driving 20k dollar Honda Accords are also to blame. Wait that would probably be 80% of the people on this forum  ;)

Hilarious, seriously? You don't work do you? After taxes, you have in the range of $350k in that bracket. If you drop 200k on a car, you've got 150 net and if you're willing to drop 200 on a car, I doubt you're living slumming it when it comes to your housing and food. That means you're not saving.

If you're getting paid 600k, that means you're just happy you made the NBA and have no security. Even the stars last only 10-12 years. But for a low-end role player, you may only have 3-4 years. Either way, you have a few years for earning serious dough. And if you're not saving in every year, you'll likely be asking to work at Home Depot like Delonte West. On the other hand, this is probably the type of mentality that leaves most NBA players broke within a few years of retiring from the NBA. It's different if you're a doctor making 600k, since you can keep working for a long time and have lot's of job security.
