I'm looking for a laptop, $400 or less. Should I wait for Cyber Monday? or tough it out on Black Friday? I've never bought anything on Cyber Monday, so I don't know what to expect there...
Microcenter has plenty of refurb (in the computing world a refurb is pretty much as good as new) for like 350. I got a few people in my office a few of them...havent ****ted out on us yet and work just as fine as a 600 dollar unit. u?
i bought 1 hp and 1 lenovo (new no refurb) at best buy for $299 and $329 at best buy like 2 months ago. point being you could get that now.
I don't know anyone that's ever bought anything on Cyber Monday. Seems like a forced gimmick, and over the last few years I don't think there's been any crazy deals to earn it's mentioning next to black friday.
Look up deals. They already exist. Staples has laptops around that price, that are decent all the time. Random weekly sales. There's an i3, 4GB HP on BF @ staples for $399.
What features u looking into? Point n shoot? Large optical zoom? Thinness, size? Plenty of cameras out there, most you can get a good price outside of Black Friday.
I think I bought it around 2005-2007. It's on a lot... hours and hours... lol. And I came home today and it wouldn't turn on again. I tried swapping out batteries and trying different remotes, but no go. This sucks. I hate spending money on dinky tv's!
You tried yanking the power cord? Had to to that with mine. And then it started up. THought it was dead at first.
My old tv used to have that problem. I tried it with this one and it didn't work yesterday. It eventually came on after about 20-30 attempts with the remote.
Ok....you all have 1 less person to fight for a spot in a BF line...I did all my shopping today. I picked up the Samsung 32" LCD for $2 more, the Samsung 55" LED (6000) for $90 more and the XBox 360 Kinect for $50 more. I spent about $150 more than I could saved by BF shopping but I just didn't feel like the savings was worth it to me.
Anybody have any idea on how early you should get there? I want to hit up Best Buy for the $199 Sharp, the $79 Dynex and the $39 Toshiba. Thinking about going up there at 5:00 PM but thinking that might even be too late. I'm betting that the 12:00 AM sale time will get a lot more people out and about. Any ideas?
Probably shift everything back by the same amount of time from regular opening to midnight. I think their BF opening hour was 6, and that people started lining up maybe at noon Thanksgiving last year. So if all that's correct, early morning thanksgiving might be it. I don't remember last year's doorbuster, but a 42" tv with a higher end name brand for 200$ is going to get a lot more attention than anything else. Cheap laptops have been replaced with netbooks and tablets. Ipods and media players have been replaced with phones.
Just got back from Best Buy with my little 26" Samsung LED. Woo. I think I'm done "Black Friday" shopping.
