In falkreath the blacksmith ask you to find a dog for him. When you find the dog, the dog talks and asks you to take him to his original master. Follow the dog to a shrine, and the shine dude sends you on a quest to get an axe for him, and sends the dog to help you. I'm not sure if you lose the dog when you complete the quest or not, i'm just ignoring the quest because the dog is pretty damn good, i got a wicked 3 pronged attack going.
really? I find the flames blinding you very difficult as I am an archer so side stepping with a loaded bow is slow. giants are cake, even multiple, especially with a slow poison the hardest thing for me actually, are dungeon bosses. if they are two handed weapon users. its ridiculous but sometimes it s a one hit on me. what the duece, these fookers need to come save the world from dragons
I googled it same story, thxs! my main question after that was if you get to keep your companion but it sounds like you do.
There's nothing like stepping out of a building inside a city and immediately being carpet bombed by a dragon. They must've heard how easy I said it was to kill them now... trying to kill those things in a city can be a pain. And of course, thanks to joesr, it was a fire-breathing one... What's crazy is that while trying to kill it, I could see another dragon flying around in the distance above a mountain. Incredible.
Your level? 47 Your companion? Aela. At the moment, she's using Dragon Plate armor and shield with an enchanted ebony sword (drains 25 health). Your spouse? Aela. How many houses and where do you live? Four. Whiterun, Riften, Markarth, Solitude. I'm attempting to get the one in Windhelm, but I'm running into some problems. See spoiler below. Gold? Over 30k. I spend it mostly when I'm buying a house or materials for smithing. Highest skill? Smithing is at 100. The next closest are Sneaking and One-Handed weapons, with both around 95. Unlocked shouts? I'm not sure of the number, but I'm sure that it's more than 10 so far. The main ones I use are Fire Breath (Level 2), Frost Breath (Level 3), Slow Time (Level 3), and Aura (Level 2). Spoiler So about that house in Windhelm. I'm attempting to become Thane of Windhelm and I've completed the amount of quests required for helping the people so the only other requirement is owning property. When I talk to the Jarl's steward, he says something along the lines of "We do have a house available, but some things happened with it and you can't get it yet". I know the quest "Blood on the Ice" is related to the house, but I can't get it to start. Supposedly, you're supposed to walk into Windhelm (preferably in the late night) and there is a commotion in the graveyard with people standing around a dead body. From there you're supposed to start the quest by talking to a nearby guard. The problem is that I've been into Windhelm dozens of times and this never happens. Is it this way for anyone else? Just some additional info: I've completed the Assassin's Guild quest line, which apparently may cause the "Blood" quest to not trigger properly depending on choices made. At this point, I've already helped the Imperials take Windhelm. Also, I keep hearing people in the city mention the Butcher, but I can't really get anyone to say anything more.
from what it sounds like, after you return the dog, you have to do another quest in which he sends the dog with you. The trick is, according to all, is to not finish that quest. Is that second quest the one you finished?
Im trying not to laugh but I guess im not trying hard enough! I bet you they would fight each other!!!
Aela is the wolf chick right? I thought she was a archer type? Does she train you for free, or money back in trading?? I saved the werewolf part for later after seeing my companion flee. so I haven't googled it but can you use the dragon bone and scales once your at 100? and I didnt realize there were lvls to your shouts
Sry misunderstood, yeah you can keep him if you don't finish the quest. I did not care though, did not need him.
I never got training from Aela so I'm not sure if it's free or not, or whether you can trade for your money back. I know that she can train you up to level 75 Archery. The odd thing is that even though I've given her a Daedric Bow (upgraded to Legendary), she doesn't use it when she shoots arrows. Instead, she uses her default Hunting Bow like she would if I hadn't given her anything. She does use the best arrows I give her, though. Aela actually opened up a shop after marriage (and I think most spouses do also), and she gives me a share of the profits. It's 100 Gold per day I think. I actually turned into a werewolf right in front of her when we were fighting a dragon and she didn't do anything except keep fighting. She didn't even run away afterwards, while I was waiting to turn back into my normal form. Yes, you can smith Dragon Plate Armor (heavy) and Dragon Scale Armor (light) once you get to Smithing level 100 and unlock the perk. There are no Dragon type weapons, though. As for levels for shouts, you can get up to three. Some walls will only give you a single level, while others will give you all three at once.
The dragons are easy, atleast the ones I faced (four different). I'm having more trouble with giants (only way i beat them is by standing on a rock were he can't reach me, and shooting arrows). I also had trouble with frost trolls (like i said earlier in this thread), maybe i'll go back now that i'm much stronger. Maybe is it because I'm a two handed weapon warrior, and getting close to giants is not that smart.
So on my next play through I'm heading straight for The Lover Stone ruin. Learn all skills 15% faster!
Man since real life has gotten in the way, I'm feeling really left behind. You guys have all gotten a lot more playing time in lately than I have. I can't wait until black friday. It's not because I'm going to buy anything, but then I'll finally have some time for playing more Skyrim. I may be able to squeeze in a little mini-session on the morning of Thanksgiving.
I think she doesnt run because she is a wolf herself. I might have to send Faendal home and get some more archery training. and sweet on the armor and shout lvls!
Your level? 39 Your companion? All of them are dead... Your spouse? Camila (from Riverwood) How many houses and where do you live? 1 house in Whiterun Gold? 38,000 Highest skill? Speech Unlocked shouts? 14
Your level? 18 Your companion? Lydia Your spouse? None How many houses and where do you live? 1 house in Whiterun Gold? 16,000 Highest skill? Light Armor Unlocked shouts? 4 _____________________________ Am so behind you other guys, can't wait for March when I got some time.
Last night, I fast-traveled to a city and was immediately presented with a dragon attacking people near the city, so I went after it. The dragon flew around and started attacking a Giant. So I was happy... a 2-fer .... but then ..... no joke.... the dragon and the giant were joined in the fight by a frost troll... I decided to go after all 3. Needless to say I need to work on my strategy when going against 3 because I just barely missed killing all 3. The Giant barely had some life left when he whacked me. NOTE : When I say "I", I mean, me, Lydia, and my atronach.
