Yeah, how many DPs do they have? I thought teams were only allowed to have one, but I'm almost certain they have two.

That off-sides call seemed pretty awful.

I compare the attention he's garnered for the league to the attention the NBA would get if Justin Bieber signed with the LA Clippers.

    WTF!?!?!

Beckham slide tackles and shows his cleats when he brings down a DYNAMO player, and the commentator is all "that is desire... he is passionate.." but then Heinault slide tackles Beckham, and the commentator is all "that is extra work, that is desire from Beckham... blah blah"... WTF.

That was a bad call, but not as bad as the phantom call in the 2009 Western Conference Final that cost the Dynamo a goal and ended up allowing the Galaxy to advance to the MLS Cup.

I'm no Becks lover but he did help MLS grow. Look at Henry and Marquez in NY.

Classless move by Dynamo fans there at the end. They were throwing things at Donovan as he was trying to take a corner.

Well not a bad showing, the better team won, and watch for both Beckham and Donavon to go to the EPL...next.

You're right, him coming to the MLS led the way for other washed up players to come over in an attempt to reclaim their glory days.

I disagree. There was some shock value as you alluded to, but when he was healthy and focused (which was an issue in his first couple years in MLS), he was generally the best player on the field.

Wow 2 minutes wasted to line up just to take a kick. Dynamo was probably huge underdogs but to show so little in attacking, guess I will have to wait for the world cup to watch soccer again.

    They should have thrown more.
