Just got this game working for my MacBook Pro this morning. Yippee! Haven't gotten past the character creation process yet, though... The hardest part of these damn games is choosing a race. I'm so indecisive. Have it narrowed down to Breton, Wood Elf, Orc, or Nord. Will probably go Wood Elf or maybe Breton... Don't really have a clue what type of character I want to play.
I think I might have done 2 quests related to that Main one. Hahah. I've been so sidetracked it's not even funny. But it's damned fun. PS - Just had my second crash out to the desktop. Lots better than Oblivion so I'm not complaining. Plus I save a lot and the game gives 3 of its own Autosaves too.
I'm too busy goofing off and doing minor side quests. I forgot what my purpose is in Skyrim. Oh well, I'll get back on the main quest soon, I suppose.
I am lvl 18 and barely done anything for the main quest. I love how the side quest are not just go kill him/her and go fetch that.
I think that's one of the main improvements. There are still quests that you go fetch X amount of Nightshade, etc. But for the most part they all seem to have a story behind them.
Thieves guild chain is pretty fun, but I'm not sure I want to finish it off. Spoiler Is the payoff worth losing the skeleton key?
Update status everyone! Your level? Your companion? Your spouse? How many houses and where do you live? Gold? Highest skill? Unlocked shouts?
Your level? 31 Your companion? Faendal (archer in River....something, the first city after Helgen) Your spouse? Ydola (spelling), she lived in Whiterun How many houses and where do you live? Only one, in Whiterun Gold? 5k maybe? spending coin like crazy trying to raise smithing Highest skill? smithing, 95 Unlocked shouts? Umm, fire, ice, the first one and companion Faendal is a beast, I know you guys have been on Lydia but he hasnt died on me once, legit with his glass epic bow. Only gets lost if I take shortcuts. Easy tactic for giants. use a slow potion, gives companion enough time to keep backing away and usually down him ina minute.
Lvl 11 Breezehome Lydia and the dog, i'm gonna keep him to hell with his mission 5000 Gold Only 1 shout Speech is 60, i trade in a lot Got 3 dragons I'm a breton, got my dude decked out assassins creed style. And i've gotten nowhere on the main quest, killing the dragon at the watchtower is a far as i've gone in that. When i clear out a dungeon or bandit hideout, i end up having to make multiple trips to cash in all of my loot. I'm paranoid my stuff is gonna vanish if i leave it in a chest. I got it the day it came out, but between my job and college football on saturday i've only gotten in 19 hours. The job might have to go.
roflmao, I hear ya, I only work part time and do school full time but add parenting with 2 kids and time gets short. But luckily I think my kids like watching me pay more then I enjoy playing, ???
Your level - 33 Your companion - None. Companions have Leeroy-Jenkined way too many times for my liking, given that I play an assassin/archer character. Your spouse - Will probably make it Lydia, if I do it at all. The way I view my character, he wouldn't care about that sort of stuff. Saving lives is all that matters. How many houses and where do you live - we can own more than one house? Gold - 22K Highest skill - Sneak, 90. Unlocked shouts - don't actually know, about five. I really only use the shout, ZA WARUDO ( timestop), and sometimes the lightning one when facing dragons.
With 2 extra dragon souls, you havent found any other shouts? took me a sec to figure out but on PS3, you have to press square on the shouts page to unlock a shout that you have found. Now whats up with this dog??? Quest??? Where is the dog??
I know the leroy feeling. Everytime i am sneaking, my dude has his torch out, im like wtf?!?!? I think you can own more then one, in each major city. I saw a more expensive house in Riften so I only assume. In marriage talks, you get the options of moving out of current house. Just fyi, marriage brings additional income, 100 per day, dont know the max as your spouse will open a store. Also as a merchant its more stores to exchange your loot, she has an additional 2k for me exchange with, and she buys everything.
One of the houses in the other towns is more expensive than the others - I think that one goes for 25,000 gold or so. The Whiterun one is the cheapest, and now that I'm thinking about starting to enchant, I found out it's the only one that you can't put one of those enchanting stations/tools in. Bah. Nice. I didn't know this. Time for the old dragonblood to commingle.
Your level? 13 Your companion? Lydia, but may start looking for someone better (if one exists) Your spouse? Nobody How many houses and where do you live? One - in Whiterun. Will be looking for another one soon Gold? only about 1000 at the moment, but gold hasn't been an issue Highest skill? Well, my highest total skill/perk points are in Destruction... something like 50-something Unlocked shouts? I think I have about 4 shouts discovered, but I've only unlocked 2 of them. I think I've killed about 4 or 5 dragons. I wish the battles with them were more epic, but they're not that difficult anymore.
