He will get a chance to start next year. The question is whether it's in NY or somewhere else. My guess is unless he tails off very badly to finish the season (doubtful IMO), the Jets will bring Sanchez back. Two AFC championship games count for something.

Eh, not necessarily. Most Jets fans realize that they got there because of a stout defense, and a solid running attack. I think they are really missing Brad Smith on offense, and it's showing. Rex Ryan even alluded to it yesterday in his press conference when he compared Smith to Tebow. It gave them an element of surprise in an otherwise bland, predictable offensive scheme. Everyone knows all you have to do is pressure Sanchez and he folds. I'm gonna guess that you're right about them bringing him back, but not because of two AFC Championship games. They bring him back because the lack of options at the position.

Didn't really follow Sanchez in at USC but was he the same as Leinart or worse?

I'm asking because can Leinart be a better NFL QB than Sanchez?

Both were way overhyped coming out of the USC and had that negative pretty boy image tag on them and felt both weren't willing to do the dirty work.

    Can someone do a compare/contrast on Leinart/Sanchez?

At USC, Leinart was way better, but that doesn't mean he will be better in the NFL.

In the playoffs, Sanchez has played well. Give him credit for that. He did anything but fold.

Sanchez does play better in the playoffs for some reason. In fact I think his playoff QB rating is better than Brady's.

So who are we Texans fans rooting for today besides the Falcons?

Cincinnati over the Ravens. We'll control our destiny over Ciny in a few weeks.

Ravens offense looks like dookie. How did we let those jokers score 29 on us?

Then the Panthers return a kickoff for a TD to go back up 17-7.

I don't really believe the Panthers will hang on and win, but it's fun watching the Lions bumble for now.

People, is there any doubt left on Rookie of the Year? Cam Newton in a landslide over Andy Dalton.

No Ray Lewis for the first time in a long time probably took the wind out of their sails. We're supposed to see dr. jekyl of Flacco when they're playing at home.

Lions D is as flaky as Baltimore D without Ray Ray. It's crazy but maybe both Dalton and Newton could be fighting for a wild card spot come week 17.

They are down 24-7... probably not a lot of running for them to be able to do.
