So Tracy was at the HBU home basketball game this past Friday. About 10 people recognized him and a few guys went over to say whatsup. This one guy was a huge fan and went up to him to introduce himself, T-Macs answer after the guy asked for a picture with him "Ay, go **** off" class act man... One of my friends from the club bball team went over to him with a UConn hat and asked him to sign it, and his response, "Im not signing that bull**** UConn hat.. (he takes out a receipt from his wallet) but ill sign this for you" What a class freakin act.
Yeah he can be kind of a douche. I saw him at BJ's in Sugar Land a couple years ago when the Rockets were in the playoffs against either the Lakers or Blazers, can't think of what game it was. I mean, you couldn't make it to the game with the rest of the team? Other times I saw him at Olive Garden and got an autograph in the Sugar Land area. As you can tell, he's in SL alot.
I went up to Yao with a group of fans once. One fan asked if he could have a picture with Yao, Yao took out a knife and stabbed him to death, then began consuming his deceased corpse. But little did people know, Yao wasn't just consuming the corpse, he was consuming the very soul of the person. True story
Try dealing with an innumerable amount of people staring at you, pointing at you, telling you to sign things, and basically mooching off your fame. Some would definitely develop some hostility.
True, i would understand this, but barely anyone went up to him, and the few that did he would completely blow off, not just subtly either, this man would make a scene about it... at the same time DJ Augustine is sitting behind him and hes just shaking his head at him and laughing, btw DJ did give autographs and pictures with no hostility.
Tracy is ego-centric. What else did you expect? When you are pretty much set for life, you don't have to be nice to people. Unfortunate, but they are not obligated to make you happy or be nice to you.
Eh, he was pretty cool when I saw him. Maybe he didn't want to act like a douche infront of his kids and family that time?
Yup. I met Tracy once. He's not a blatant douche bag, but its obvious he doesn't want to do autograph sessions and such. Chuck Hayes on the other hand... fantastic personality!
Honestly, if I ever saw him, I'd go up to him, pretend I'd want an autograph and then laugh in his face. Why would anyone want an autograph from this guy? I'd seriously spit on the ground in front of him.
doesnt matter how much you dislike the guy because of basketball of all reasons but its pretty disrespectful to do that and i doubt you would actually do it.
Tracy McGrady has not accomplished enough to be acting so douchey. I am a big T-Mac fan, and it's hard for me to imagine him doing/saying these things, but I would not be surprised if some people really think of McGrady as a joke. He was a superstar for a couple of years. He needs to realized that he accomplished little, and stop being so douchey. Maybe he's insecure and it's causing him to believe in this manner. I find it hard to believe...but McGrady is known for his drama. Sometimes I think people need reality checks. McGrady, if this he him, needs one.
well, he has accomplished enough for people to find value and want him to put his name on paper or something. that said, as I got older, I don't put any value in autographs in general. Maybe a picture at best, but I try to humanize it and realize people are doing soemthing, eating, be it watching a game so on and just be respectful and move on unless it is the appropriate venue for it.
I alway felt there was something odd about Yao Ming, when he looked at the bench like a buffet table.
