Have you ever belonged to a union? I have. They negotiate a contract every 3 or 4 years and spend the rest of the time pushing political propaganda. It made me sick how much they pushed for me to vote for candidates that I would NEVER vote for. Funny thing is they were all Democrats. They also sent our due money to Democrats in the form of campaign contributions. Guess what, I have never voted for anyone the union told me to vote for. The union / Democrat circle jerk is sickening. Unions collect dues and try to brainwash members to vote Democrat all the while contributing their due money to Democrat campaigns. If you think all union members vote Democrat you are VERY sadly mistaken.
Are you for welfare moms getting off there lazy butts to work too? Are you for eliminating all welfare, public housing, etc...?
I'm only posting to this because the Jets just took the lead. I'm a proud, 20 year card carrying member of two unions actually. AEA and SAG.
I guess you eat up all the propaganda they send to you then? I recently took a salary job in my company but I was a member of the USW. BTW, on a personal note, how did you become a Jets fan and a Rockets fan? That seems like an odd combo. I am a Rockets fan and a Dallas Cowboy fan. Dang your Jets for the first game of the year!!!!!!LOL
Moved to NYC in 93 growing up a Rockets fan As you can see if you're watching the game, being a Jets fan is sort of like being an Oilers fan.
So are you really part of the actual OWS crowd? As for football, being a Cowboys fan hasn't been a piece of cake in quite a while either. Hey at least your Jets have done really well the last few years. I am worried the Jets success is going to cost the Cowboys losing Rob Ryan next year.
I was in NYC in late July this year for the first time. I had some training in Northeast NJ for work. I got to see ground zero, the Statue of Liberty(at least from the Staton Island ferry, and quite a bit of Manhattan. My son and brother-in-law accompanied me. I had four days of intense training while they were sight seeing in NYC for four days. I at least got to spend all day that Friday in New York. I enjoyed my visit. Had I knew you lived there I would have asked for a personal tour. LOL.
Welfare moms who are too lazy to work are almost non-existent. There are some and I'm against them, but most welfare goes to senior citizens. Why not tackle the real enemy first... go after the big fish instead of wasting time with the minnows.
Unfortunately we have both taxed seniors while they were working based on the promise of providing social security and medicare benefits and have removed an incentive to save for retirements with the same promise. To just eliminate for current beneficiaries would not be fair. What we could do is to eliminate FICA taxes now and phase out the benefits based on how long people paid into the system, such that people just starting work would have paid nothing out and by the time they retire SS and Medicare would be eliminated. A far more modest system that is more safety net than socialized elderly care could take its place. The shortfalls in the budget to cover the current costs of entitlements would need to be dealt with, presumably with a combination of spending cuts and revenue increases. This should be very popular on the left, because FICA taxes are monstrously regressive.

I've been to a few rallies but if you mean sleeping overnight in the park for weeks at a time, no I wouldn't consider myself "part of the crowd". I do support the movement and ideas of OWS.
I point out that the OWS folks haven't asked for a single handout and you come back with this? Weak sauce even for you.
cml750, I would just like to point out that you have placed taking a dump in public right next to rape. That's all. I support you being indignant (though hyperbolic) about OWS, but you should actually go camping some day. Not car camping, but out on the trail, and take a dump like a human was meant to defecate: like a bear.
"force through violence" attention liberarian code phrase; no need to try logical argument or argument by existing world examples.
I love how these scared little reactionaries tag-team the spamming of this thread with their denigration of the OWS movement. It's almost like their version of occupy wallstreet. Occupy OWS Thread. Are y'all working in shifts?
I'm curious why the article didn't mention that the OWS members raped several tea party members and then exposed themselves to the the tea party crowd.
