Do you really feel that your opinion is so well thought-out that it deserves this type of certainty? What have you done that makes you so certain that you're right?
You know you are right! Opinions are like ***holes, we all have one and they all stink. Now back on subject, if you would take just a little time to actually read what I was responding to, you would see see GladiatoRowdy said that these poor people just want jobs and want to work. His statement was so ridiculous because if you want to work(a novel concept) then you don't spend two months camping out protesting. You spend your time trying to get employed!!!!! You know, actually applying for jobs, sending out resumes. It is not real hard to figure out.

I know it's not polite to answer a question with a question, but doesn't it just freak you out that percentage wise 30 of the largest corporations in America paid less taxes than you last year? Fair is paying what you owe. I do, you do, shouldn't corporations? or do you cheat on your taxes?
You know it is really funny that the left had to work real hard to cherry pick bad actors at the Tea Party rallies and has to work even harder to cherry pick good actors at OWS.
Are you dodging the question? What is a fair share? I am not rich. The most money I have EVER made is 98K and it took well over a 1000 hours of overtime to get there. What is my fair share? Everything I have I have I EARNED by the sweat of my brow. I have never taken a single penny from the government and don't want to. My father never took a single penny from government either until he stated drawing the social security that he worked to contribute to. What about you? Do you EARN a living or do you spend your time occupying?
Link, please! And give me your address. I'll send you a handkerchief you can use to wipe that brow. Seriously, what makes you think you're so damned different from mc mark, or anyone else? Most of us don't make enough money to avoid paying taxes, but we pay taxes. You know, to build infrastructure, pave roads, repair bridges, fund the fire and police departments, defend the country... stuff like that. Government has a purpose and it must be funded. That's what taxes are for. I pay them, and I pay "my fair share." I don't howl and beat my breast, while tearing out my hair in angst.
You don't understand a thing. Paying for illegal wars, the war on drugs, the highest incarceration rates in the world, Obama's drones assassinating US citizens, Solyndra, and an overall corrupt and authoritarian institution is not my moral duty. If you really think it is yours, here is the link again: https://www.pay.gov/paygov/forms/formInstance.html?nc=1271991815942&agencyFormId=23779454 You moral duty should be willingly giving your extra money (if not all) to the government, not spending it on beer.
Link???? To what????? I am glad you work and pay taxes,so do I. That is what we are supposed to do, that is EARN our living in life. I have never tried to avoid paying ANY taxes. I simply asked MC what is a fair share and he avoided the question.
Are you brain dead? Fair is paying what you owe. jesus christ *sigh* we could have been great friends 7 years ago seriously, the Jets guys....it's more important right now
You know, I think Social Security and Medicare were originally terrible ideas. I really do. The only problem is now people who are in the system are dependent on it. That is the problem with all entitlements. They cost tons of money, much more than they are originally projected to cost and once they are established people become dependent on them. Now that we have SS and Medicare they are here to stay(or at least until we go bankrupt in the near future) however most of the people who are in these systems WORKED and CONTRIBUTED to them. You say screw these elderly people? What about poor people, should we say screw them too?
The "link" comment was a joke. With a progressive tax system, "fair" depends on your income, theoretically. The wealthy tend to have more ways to avoid paying taxes. The system is designed, in my opinion, to favor the wealthy. However, for the Republican Party, that isn't enough. Many want a "flat tax," which is terribly regressive and favors the wealthy even more. Absent that, they just keep cutting taxes to the bone. Bush was president for two terms, with the nation fighting two wars during that time, and for the first time in our nation's history, he cut taxes while the United States was at war. Again and again. To my knowledge, he never vetoed a spending bill, either, although his party was in control of Congress. Government grew during his time in office. It was a perfect storm of stupidity. He, along with the GOP Congress, created the huge deficits we now face. We have a much lower tax rate than we had during the reign of the Republican God, Ronald Reagan. In fact, my guess is that the big corporations and the wealthy couldn't believe their luck. What President Obama has been saddled with since being elected is the mess created by George Bush and the Republican Congress. You may not like hearing that, but it's true. You should be happy. Taxes haven't been this low in many, many decades. Yet all one hears from Republicans is whining about how "high" taxes are. It's rediculous.
Please do not take my Lord And Saviors name in vane. So what you are saying that everyone is paying their fair share unless they are committing tax fraud? You pay what you owe. I like it. That is what I do!!! So if congress were to pass a flat tax you would be okay with it as long as no one commits fraud. As long as people pay what the current tax laws say then you are happy. Got it!!!
I'm saying screw the elderly because those lazy bums are the biggest recipients of govt. Welfare. Since you hate govt. welfare and entitlements so much I'm waiting for you to join me in the effort to make lazy ass grandma and grandpa get back to work. I'm tired of them mooching off the rest of us hard workers when I know they are capable of a few more years of work.
