via verumserum, a list of occupy crimes- note, not meant to be definitive. i'm sure there are many more unreported rapes, since as the occupiers have told us, a good feminist closes her eyes and thinks of barack. -- Rather than just an unordered list, I was thinking it might be helpful to categorize the mayhem by type. It's pathetic that a bum shi**ing on a police car is a story and hundreds of billions of dollars of tax payer money enriching private company CEO's is not. But it only is if you give in to the smoke screen. ASSO you could just cut and paste the entire police blotter for the continental United States, typical day, typical crimes.
Thank you my brother! I can rep you a thousand times if I could, thank you for taking it to these twisted lefties!
i have yet to see you start a thread on the MF Global debacle. i'd think it'd exhibit A for the OWS crowd.
Hey, basso, how about we have a debate on the issues? We can trade tit-for-tat on crimes (I have juicy ones about Tea Party activists vandalizing classrooms, and threatening violence), but I bet you 100-to-one that if you get off the whole qualm of what happens, why it happens stymies you. Which is why you can hide behind your list. Want me to drag up a list of Wall Street crimes?
Au contraire my toadie, way back, I vilified that lying snake Corzine and said he needs to be buried under the jail. A lying ******* is a lying *******, party affiliation has no bearing. * gosh, I hope somebody quotes that long meaningless list again Everybody ought be embarrassed about your petty crime piss fight when the history of real political violence makes all of your lists a joke. Nobody is burning down the Chancellery, lynching student organizers, or gassing civilians, sheesh...p*****s.
basso doesn't care, the most prominent threads on the rat-like actions of the Obama Admin vis a vis Wall Street, and wiretapping, were started by "liberals". I'd challenge him to post ONE thread where he went against the party line.
Basso is paid to post distractions. That doesn't mean You have to be distracted. It's not like anyone gives a crap what he says. Speed read enough to get the gist, chuckle at the absurdity and move on. That's the thing. Organized propaganda like Basso's cut and paste campaigns can and will fatigue earnest volunteers. You work and work while he gets his crap from a centralized talking points service. You try to work or go to school and still strive to make a difference and these guys are just having a typical work day, getting paid to be boring, to bore you, to distract from the issues. They can spend more time and assets at it than you can. They won't change their mind or message because that's not their job. They just go on creating a disinformation, alternate reality, piling on non-story over non-story until they bury the real story under a big ol' pile. Job well done. That is the corporate disinformation reality made uncontrollable by Citizens United. Think of that every time Basso posts.
Could I pay to have him disappear? ;-)- I only read what he's quoted as saying, with rare exceptions. Some years back, I actually cared enough about the guy to try and reason with him, and even defended him more than once when he was taken to task for supporting a political party with a rather lousy record with regard to Gay Rights. One can belong to a political party and disagree with many of the positions that party officially holds, as you know, and basso does support Gay Rights, in the main. He also has said that he has a child with special needs, and I got involved with a weird discussion about that, part of the discussion, as I recall, sort of belittling how much he cared about the topic, which I thought was very unfair (assuming he wasn't making that up, and I don't think he was). Eventually, however, I just gave up. He isn't worth the aggravation, at least to me, not in D&D, at any rate. The guy has made it his hobby to pollute the forum with bull****. There's already enough around here without having someone post endless threads contributing mightily to the steaming pile.
What a day! A major topic of discussion today! Welcome to PHASE 2 of Occupy Wall Street, It is time to TAX THE RICH It is time to END THE WARS It is time to restore Glass-Steagal It is time to repeal Citizens United It is time to get the money OUT OF POLITICS It is time to invest in infrastructure and education It is time to STOP busting labor unions, whether private or public It is time to defend Medicare and Social Security tooth and nail from phony reforms or baloney cuts It is time to STOP the spending cuts and start investing in America, and if we have to raise taxes on the rich and corporations in order to force them to invest in America, then so be it. It is time to STOP the racist and discriminatory practice of "Stop and Frisk" and other tactics of racial profiling It is time for civil rights for ALL, and that means equal rights for LGBT Americans to serve our military and marry whom ever they will It is time for ACCOUNTABILITY for the men who lied us into war and crashed our economy It is time for immigration reform that does not punish workers, but provides a clear pathway to citizenship for everyone It is time for investigations that lead to prosecutions on Wall Street in response to the crimes that have been committed in the last decade. It is time for a serious discussion about the Federal Reserve and it's role in this economic disaster It is time for universal health care that everyone can afford. It is time to talk about Single Payer Health Care. It is time for alternative green energy instead of Oil and Coal. It is time to protect our civil liberties and our constitution. It is time for a discussion about free trade and how it has undermined the working class while enriching only the wealthiest among us. It is time to end corporate personhood.
Great! I loved the list, which is a great agenda to tackle, one that needs to be tackled, and not just with lip service. It's really tough when you have a radical, out of control Supreme Court that has given us the last thing on that list, the one I bolded. Thanks for that, mc mark. -
Notice the list says nothing about taking money away from anybody or stopping anyone from making money or demanding a job or...
Paying your fair taxes is a civic and moral duty. One day you will understand this. I'm tired, it was a long day. I'ma gonna go watch the Jets and have a beer.
Where did I say a corporation was a person. I said that if you take free speech away from one group ie: corporations then you should take it away from all of them including unions. Either take it away from all groups and leave it to individuals only or let every group, person, etc... have free speech. It is really pretty simple.
LOL. Camping out in a park taking drugs, raping people, taking dumps in public, etc, etc, etc, etc. Yea that is a real good way to get employed. Give me a friggin break. Yea, these people are just trying their little hearts out to get employed by someone. Please!!!!!!!!
