none are wrong, this is how it will be till the next game is over - people are nervous, but Leinart looked decent enough on the bootleg throws and throwing on the run in the pre-season. Several people feel Schaub has been elite this year and I don't... simple differ of opinion I suppose. If Leinart can be not perfect, but efficient and average and especially efficient, he will replicate Schaub's production, and I honestly feel Leinart will do better than a lot thought.

I figured Wade was a good hire when lots did not, it is natural to be nervous till it happens, as awesome as Luck may be, who is to say he doesn't play average or below average? I may be proven wrong, but I think Leinart makes a lot of people feel better about the Texans because of a lot of good reasons to believe so. . ...

I have a hard time accepting that you would prefer Leinart over Freeman, but the rest are debatable if Leinart puts together a few solid or even mediocre games.

Colt is a solid QB, I would take him over Leinart right now. Colt is just surrounded by utter crap everywhere.

    Freeman was iffy for me.
What he did against the Texans was not impressive at all.
It may have been the Thumb.
But he threw some ugly balls. Wobbly and floating

    Possible. Heck even probable.
I based it on the Texans game again
There maybe a bit of the Texans making him look worse than he is
    but I was not impressed.
having garbage around him didn't help I guess.

Leinart is more of a Prototype QB. Taller . . not sure on the arm strengths
Colt maybe more mobile. . . but i don't think that is a plus in this offense
well . . i don't think it is overly necessary

Freeman is flat out awful this season. If Leinart is that bad, we're screwed.

i'm cautiously optimistic on Leinart. He was the 10th pick for a reason and his problems in Arizona seemed to stem more from immaturity than lack of skill.

This will be his moment though that will determine if he ever gets a starting job in the nfl or if he will be a career backup.

One thing that i take some solace in is that with the texans, much like at USC, he is surrounded by talent. He has a tandem of RBs to rely on, an excellent offensive line and great receiving targets so his job is to feed those guys and let them make plays.

    a solid qb?

    22nd in passer rating
    32nd in yards per attempt
    24th in comp %
    18th in QBR

only positive thing I see is a low INT #, but there is just no way that he can consistently keep up a 1.8% INT rate.

I think our best case scenario is a Joe Flacco situation. Hopefully a slightly better than Mark Sanchez situation.

His problem is that he's WILDLY inconsistent game to game.

    Odd numbered games: 53 QBR, 1W-4L, 4TD-12INT

    Even Numbered games: 97 QBR, 3W-1L, 5TD-1INT

    Huge swing.

I expect the Jags game to be ultra conservative playcalling by Kubiak on offense. Play field position and see if the D can score you some easy TDs or give you short fields to work with.

The Jags did lose one of their key safeties right?
