Josh Krajcik had great energy and showed he didn't have to always depend on the same vocal style in his music. He was awesome, almost as great as his mentor spazzing the f--k out at the judges table. By far the best performance of the night. Maybe the show's headed up from here.

Astro is the sh-t! This kid just comes with it every damn show. Man, just when you think he might be capable of a bad night, he just smashes it out of the park. Nothing more to say. He's great.

Lakoda Rayne is still 4 hot chicks (especially the one from South Africa). They sounded good and had good energy. Not the best performance of the night, but they definitely don't belong in the bottom 2 this week. What the hell was that "watch your back" thing Simon said to LA about?

Drew sounded the same as she does every single performance she does, but she's so great in her niche I don't care. It is getting slightly boring compared to the changes the others are making, so she probably can't win this whole thing without switching it up at some point, but she should stick around for a while.

Marcus was entertaining enough. He did better than I though he would in a genre that isn't really his style. Enough that he should make it through to next week, but it wasn't all that special, imo. 3 of 4 judges loved it.

    My rankings for tonight:

    1. Astro
    2. Josh
    3. Rachel
    4. Drew
    5. Melanie
    6. Marcus
    7. Lakoda Rayne
    8. Chris Rene

Man, the band was owing that Janis Joplin song. They were so fire.

Marcus was terrible. He was a lounge singer. God, I wanted him to shut up and let the band jam. They were killing it. Marcus was about five steps below that band.

Not to make a Marcus smear campaign, but I just get the impression that the little bit of fame he got has gone to his head. He reminds me of Marques Houston.

Seriously, and the judges have no creativity. I can't get no satisfaction?

No - Perfect Day by Lou Reed. Melanie Amaro woulda killed this song.
    No - Jamie's Cryin - Van Valen
No - Freeze Frame - J. Geils Band. Rachel coulda killed it.
No - Let the good times roll - the cars. Drew would have been amazing on this song. She sounds like Ric Ocasek as it is.

I'd even like to have seen some pretenders on the show. In the middle of the road.

The songs they chose you could tell they had no clue about interesting rock songs.

I'm the complete opposite. The studio drums that they threw in there for the drummer to use totally took away from the song.

And Marcus sounded as good as he possibly could in a genre he wasn't even close to being comfortable with.

He was top 3 for me. Right behind Astro and Josh. If they would have let the drummer actually use real drums, and taken the dancers away... it might have even put him at the top.

    That's just me, though.

As far as who needs to go... Chris does. Like seriously, this guy is not good.

Astro owned the night, I love how original he is and so much different than all these stupid rappers like lil wayne. I really think he is a lot better than so many rappers out there today. I would love to see him be taking under the wing of Eminem or Jay-z. He loves oldschool hip hop and so do I.

Drew: I love her voice, I am a sucker for that unique voice. I don't care if it sounds the same every week, she is great.

Rachel: Did very good this week, I still prefer her to sing songs like last week and when she sang "If I were a boy" But she is great and I can see her going to the very end.

I hope Stacy goes home, I really can not stand her. Josh did great too btw.

    Rankings for tonight
    1. Astro
    2. Josh
    3. Drew
    4. Rachel
    5. Melanie
    6. Chris
    7. Lakoda Rayne
    8. Marcus
    9. Leroy
    10. Stacy

Bottom two IMO will be Leroy and Stacy. But I won't be suprised if it is Marcus and Leroy. I can see people not voting for Marcus based on his performance.

Can't stand Stacy's ideas as to what type of singer she is. Her song this week had me cringing the entire time. The song doesn't sound like a song when you try to push a vibrato on every note just makes the song sound like a complete mess.

I had the same feeling that Nicole did on Drew's song. I hate the idea that I agree with her because she sounds completely lost all the time (Nicole), but I was waiting for the beat to move up just to see how she does. I get that she wants to keep her base similar, but taking a chance at this stage probably wouldn't kill her, but maybe get her some more "cred."

Leroy says the right things to his criticisms, but he needs to just go for it. He says he's willing to make changes, well, there's no better time than now. His voice is great, however.

Lakoda Rayne. I really hope they stay because I felt Paula did a decent job with her groups. I do feel that inTENsity deserved a place in the final 10 as well. LR's song started as a complete trainwreck. Their voices are not meant for this type of rock, but at least they actually tried to do a "rock" song. For that, they have my vote because they stuck with the theme. Their dancing did look completely awkward when placed in a group though. It looked like they're all doing their own thing.

Josh did great. I'm starting to warm up to Astro some. I think he got on my nerves from the first episode with the "I ain't going to dance with the rest of them" thing.

Rachel was great and she continues to try something out of her normal comfort zone.

Not high on Chris Rene and OK with Marcus.... Melanie's voice is out of this world, but I felt that Simon had no say on what's rock or not when two of his three singers completely botched the theme. Slowing a rock song to a crawl to fit your singer's strong points does not make it "still a rock song" in my opinion.

Like I said before. Its Drew, Josh and Astro's contract to win. They are all great and original in their genre.

    couldn't agree more.

But Astro would be the best talent to endorse Pepsi.

I must be the only person not so impressed with Drew. I mean, she's good, don't get me wrong.....but I don't see her as a Taylor Swift 2.0.

Astro could really pump up the hiphop community and Josh has talent in the deep-rock category. Feeling those two at the moment. Regardless, probably the top 5 will come out with record deals of some sort.

LOL at Paula's reaction to Lakoda Rayne making it through. Hilarious.

I'm thinking Chris or Stacy is going home tonight.

That's the problem. She isn't Taylor Swift 2.0. Think Norah Jones or Amy Winehouse in terms of a unique sound.

Astro is not helping his cause. I don't see him gaining fans by being arrogant. Even Jayz knows he needs fans.

Wow, I thought Astro sealed his own fate with that bullsh-t attitude.

BUT, it is true to hiphop... "F the haters, I'm great."

That look from Stacy was awesome. I was crackin up.

I thought his whole "should I perform" bit was an act like when he fake called out Simon during his audition but then he went into full brat mode. I wonder if he's going to diss everyone when he has to perform again next Thursday
