I own MW2, Black Ops, BFBC2, BF3, and I am picking up MW3 today. From what I have seen this game looks like a 60 dollar map pack for MW2. I'll check it out, but I won't hesitate to return it if I don't enjoy it, because frankly I'm rather uneasy about throwing 60 bucks at this in the first place. We'll see what happens.

Has anyone checked out the "private match" game modes?

    Pretty cool.

If you liked MW2, then yes.

I hoped they would take out most of the nonsense that they had in MW2: heartbeat sensors, thermals, lightweight commando, quick sniping, riot shields, panic knifes, grenade launchers, death streaks... I could probably go on for a while. The only one they did take out was lightweight commando.

I also really don't like the Support strike package. Dumb.

So the PS3 version is already hacked. I was just playing and a guy was underneath the level shooting up at everyone. We couldn't see him but he could see through the floor and see where everyone was

PS3 version is horrible, I haven't even played the game in a few days just due to the framerate issue.
If anyone wants to buy my copy , i'll suck up my loss and sell it for $45. Use it towards some accessories for my future Gnex

Apparently its a glitch in the map, where you walk into a certain corner and all of a sudden you're under the map and can see everything. I think its on both consoles

I've only played this game about 4 hours with a KDR of 1.7~, and I really don't like this game. It is not in the same league as MW2.

Here are a few reasons why I feel MW3 does not live up to MW2:

    1) They removed the nuke, so now there are no incentives to play "carefully" and strategically. Everyone runs and guns, much like black ops. Except it's not fun.

    2) The guns are bad, both sound and recoil. Everything feels the same, and the perks that make it easier to spot/shoot enemies provide less incentives to try other guns.

    3) The highest kill-streak reward is the wanna-be chopper gunner. It is not half of what the gunner was in MW2. It requires 18(?) kills and it's lame/boring. Gunner from MW2 was quick, intense, and rewarding.

    4) There is always an UAV in the air. Always. The one perk (I forgot which one) that makes you invisible from enemy air crafts is a must, basically. Also, not all KS rewards are available on a given class (assault cannot have counter UAV). I don't believe this is a good thing.

    5) The maps are all so small, with sharp corners. Basically, run and kill. There are not strategic maps, I feel, that produce the same element as Afghan and Wasteland from MW2.

This is all I can remember for now, but I'm sure there is way more. I've already stopped playing after the first day. I can honestly say that after playing MW3, I've realized how much we took MW2 for granted. That game was amazing. Besides the silly commando, some over-tubing, and camping, MW2 was an excellent shooter. More importantly, it was fun.

I guess you just don't know what you have til it's gone. MW3 is bad, forreal!

Just as mentioned, I realize how fun MW2 actually was...it was frustrating as hell at times, but in the end, it made you emotional, whether it was good or bad....thats what entertainment is all about.

I just dont get that feel of excitement when Im playing MW3. Its not bad...but its not on the level of MW2 or even Black Ops for me...Of course, Ive only put in about 5 hrs of multiplayer, so who know how my feelings will change.

Typically, when coaches talk about the distractions consuming their players, they mean the Big Stuff: School, family, money, relationships. Times are hard. Earning a degree is hard. Kids come from some pretty hard places.

That's true at Louisville as well as anywhere else, and Charlie Strong is as accustomed as any coach to dealing with the diversions that follow his players into the locker room. As Strong admitted Monday, though, less than 48 hours after the Cardinals came out looking flat and unprepared in a 21-14 loss to Pittsburgh, his powers of motivation weren't able to overcome the release of an addictive new video game:
