whats everyone think WR wise? should i stick with maclin, hope he plays sunday, or go with someone else?
well we play 4 WR: maclin green nelson white floyd (bench) meachem (bench) look to pick up someone else? i dont think floyd is going to play for chargers either
It sounds like you're going after VY, and in my admittedly biased opinion, I don't see much chance of him succeeding for a bunch of reasons. And because of that, in addition with his shaky week, I wouldn't want Maclin starting, relying on VY for points in two positions. Popular adds this were Moore, D.Williams, Cobb, V.Brown, with E.Bennet and L.Robinson if they weren't picked up last week. I really liked how Brown looked last Thursday, he showed the kind of drive I was hoping to see out of VJax. It might be worth a look at McCluster too if he has wr eligibility.
i'm not sure i'm going to add VY...i picked up leinart instead, i'm just going to stick with dalton this week, hope he can be semi productive vs BAL. then look into starting leinart, since their schedule is more favorable the next couple of weeks than the bengals. i'll look into the guys you mentioned, though as mentioned before, i put a claim in for moore, but didnt get him. thanks for the suggestions everyone.
If I were you my first 3 would be White, Green, and Nelson if in fact it's Jordy. From what I read Green should be good for this weekend. Now your 4th spot may be a little tricky. If you have any choices that vin advised I'd go Damian Williams or Earl Bennett. Williams is going up against the 21st ranked pass D, and Bennett wil be a main target in the Bears offense of Cutler's in what I predict will be a high scoring game against San Diego. I'm personally leaning Williams at my flex.
yes, it is jordy nelson, i went and picked up damian williams just a second ago as well. so i'll start him, since rosters have to be set by tomorrow. if maclin plays oh well...gotta make sure i have someone who for sure will play.
Need help with QB: I'm thinking about trading for Romo (the owner has Cam Newton). Will probably offer Desean Jackson + filler (Jackie Battle). Fair deal? Roster: Spoiler I think I'll be fine w/o either Jackson, Holmes, or Cruz, so I'm planning to trade one of them. (Backstory: I drafted with Fitzpatrick and Kolb. Dropped Kolb and picked up Freeman. Last week, dropped Fitzpatrick and picked up (and started) Tebow.)
Not a fair deal by a long shot. Romo's edging into elite production with everything coming together: no more rib problems, stud rb, rapport with receivers, and most importantly tasty matchups. Desean is coming off a goose egg to top off disaster of a season so far and shaky qb situation on top of that. Fortunately Tebow isn't a bad fantasy qb by any means. There's risks of him being benched if he has any more games like Detroit, but he's a worthwhile play since you'd have to pay through the nose if you're trading for Romo.
Well, Romo is sitting on the person's bench, and she's 4-6 fighting for a playoff spot. I don't really have to make the trade to make the playoffs, but QB is a glaring weak spot for me going on forward that I would like to improve without giving up any of my starting RBs or Welker (ok, maybe Welker). With my current roster, I'm not sure who I'll play this week (Tebow against Jets now-somewhat-overrated D on a short week), or Freeman. It's a toss up IMO. After this week I might stick with Tebow rest of the way.
This would make sense for the Romo-owner if you offered a player that gives the same amount of production as Romo. To trade for another owner's PRODUCING bench player, the returning players have to meet this criteria: 1. The returning player produces points. The idea is to convert Romo's bench points to starting points at another position. So if their WR is scoring 5 fpts/game, and Romo is scoring 20 fits/game, the returning WR should be able to score about 15 fits/game. DeSean doesn't score unless there is a big play made. With McCoy running the way he is, I don't see Vick letting the ball go DeSean's way very often 2. The returning player improves production of another position. In your case, even if the Romo-owner needs a WR, DeSean Jackson is garbage. He couldn't produce when he was on the field, now the guy can't even stay on the field. This is not an attractive incentive.
Plax @ Den or Crabtree v Ari I already have Holmes starting at Denver. Start Plax as well or keep crabtree?
I really need him healthy. He has been the saving grace for my disaster of drafting DeSean Jackson, Reggie Wayne, and Percy Harvin as my top 3 receivers. I need 1 WR, 1RB, 1Flex (assuming McGahee doesn't play, if so I'll start him, and same goes for AJ Green): DeSean Jackson (NYG) Sidney Rice (STL) Damian Williams (ATL) Nate Washington (ATL) Deion Branch (KC) Mike Tolbert (CHI) James Starks (TB) Lance Ball (NYJ) Jonathan Stewart (Det)
FYI, joe reedy bengals beat writer for cincy enquirer put green's chance of playing sunday right now at 35%. i decided to pick up bennett so i have maclin/green both out of my lineup this week.
