Do you guys realize that the Nets might have traded Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, NJ's 2011 pick (#3 Enes Kanter !!!!!) AND Golden State's 2012 pick for 12 games of Deron Williams?

I'm guessing the plan would have been for Prokhorov to win over him in the one year he had remaining, but if the season is canceled, D-Will might have played his last game as a Net already.

Deron re-tweeted this comment: "On the bright side, 2012 free agency could be amazing."

I would be pretty mad as a NJ fan right about now.

    I don't know...

I feel like that franchise is starting fresh. Didn't they just move cities?

I bet he tries to lure other FA to NJ.

You would be mad as a NJ fan because of what D-Will said or because the Nets will be playing in Brooklyn next year? I agree with him 2012 could be a crazy free agency year for Brooklyn.

Utah may have really beasted making that trade. I do agree that Deron will split, assuming the new system gives him an opportunity to land in a more desirable place with a max deal....not guaranteed.

I don't know, I think Deron's better off staying in Brooklyn and convincing Howard to come, then going somewhere else (unless that somewhere else is the Knicks)

IMHO the Net's problem was keeping Brooks instead of Favors and a pick. The Jazz being what they are, I'm sure they would have been happy with just Brooks, Harris and the 2012 pick. Instead of taking advantage of the Jazz's white boy tendencies they kept Brooks instead.

I can't claim to know D-will's mind, but if I'm him I would stay put. Prokhorov looks in it to win it, so I think his team will be good sooner or later.
