There's a dead dragon outside the city gates. I'd say that's a glitch. I go outside and it's just laying there. Actually, it was initially twitching all over the place, but now it's just laying there dead. Hopefully not too many of these weird graphical problems.

The great thing about Elder Scrolls is that after you playthrough once with a "good" character. You can create a new evil character and kill everything. :p

Lydia should be at the door right before you leave Dragonsreach. If not, then idk.

Also companions CAN die. If you somehow deliver an accidental blow with a sword, arrow, etc. they will die.

I told her to wait somewhere. And one time it randomly said my companion could no longer wait for me. So does that mean Lydia is gone forever lol?

That's hilarious. It does show me a weakness I wouldn't have been aware of in my character by not really training magic. I do have some wicket staves that I think I could use with my weak magic to make that tactic work. I could also buy a few spells learn them, and train in them. I'll save my money and start that plan next.

I finally bought a house and all the furnishings for it that were offered. So I can store a lot of crap now. I need to because the merchants tend to run out of money before I've sold all my stuff. Once I'm able to unload all my loot, I can pay for some magic training, and new spells.

I'm loving this game. And this thread is really cool to see how differently people are doing things. It's a real sign of excellent game design that it can be played in so many different ways. I think it's pretty unique in that way.

What did you do to accrue that much money? Im almost at 3k, spent a lot of money prior on training before I found out I can get my house (I should have known though) so I am just visiting different caves and shiet.

I love running around the world map and discovering new stuff, but it was worth a little investmen for me to take a tour of Skyrim on the horse cart outside the major and minor cities.

To me, it was well worth the investment to take a ride to all the holds so I can have a jumping off point in each section of the map to fast travel from.

man this game can make u work though. Trying to make profit like its a business, I mined iron ore and/or bought it. Then I transmuted to silver then to gold ore from there made ingots and finally gold jewelry. Pffft, long arse process!

Mining takes so long because the animation. I prefer to just pick flowers while wandering. You make useful potions and sell off the stuff you don't use. I'm a mage so I sell off all my poisons, etc. And make most of my money just looting creatures and selling stuff from my dungeon/tower jaunts.

Its not really a tour. I used the word "tour" because I went through the list all at once and saw every city on the map in about 30 minutes. Go to the stable outside any city and find the guy sitting on the horse cart. Pay him to take you to the various cities. Even if you haven't been there before, you'll fast travel to the new city. Go explore the city to add it to your map.

You can now fast travel to that city from now on without trecking across the entire map. It is a great way to get fast travel points all over the map for your various quests.

The horse cart will only take you to cities and towns.

Speech attributes are under-rated. You want to get rich? Get your speech up.

That's basically what I did. I fought through caves and dungeons. I don't leave even after I've completed what quest sent me there. I try to find every room, and treasure chest. I didn't think I really had all that much money.

I have Lydia carry a lot of stuff and then have her trade it back to me so that I can sell it. Someone on here mentioned a 10 - 1 weight to value ratio, and I try and stick to that as a minimum so I don't have a lot of stuff weighing me down that won't sell for that much money.

I haven't paid for very much training either. The total amount I've spent on training is maybe 1000 gold. I figured I can learn from books, or by using the skills I need trained. Though like I said I'll have to catch up on some magic training.

Also once you are accepted by different Jarls, and societies, you can go through and take items and money from their buildings without it being considered stealing. So I've looted two Jarls places, a few homes, the companions building, and the greybreards place. That's worth some decent coin with no danger to you. Just be careful because even though most things aren't considered stealing a few items are still considered theft for some reason.

So if you talk to Sven in Riverwood and he gives you that letter to give to Camila, tell Camila that Sven is tricking and then go to Faendal.

Faendal is now your companion and he provides archery training.

Pay for archery training, and trade with him to get your gold back. Unlimited archery training...

I picked this up two days ago.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the second greatest game ever, behind only Ocarina. It's just that amazing.

Damn, not sure why i never thought of making her carry my goods. I keep leaving stuff behind because of the weight issue.

I'm also curious why some stuff gets labeled as stolen.

Is it worth buying the house? I'm in that town by dragonreach and there is a house for sale, but I have the keys to one of the houses and can stay there, also one of the clans let me sleep at their place.

I had a chick who I brawled follow me around and help me, she died, so I looted her body and got the key to her house. Which I guess, is technically now mine.
