Looks like I'm going to get my (just a tiny bit) wish.

The good news? I have two weeks to convince everyone we're going to be just fine and dandy with Matt Leinart!

(Screw me hard in the chest - that subject line should read, "(Me, tapping my chest as if to say, "My bad; my bad...") Please feel free to edit if you deem necessary.)

I firmly place the blame for this on Icehouse, DaDakota, ubigred, javal_lon, and the rest of the Anti-Schaub BBS goof troop. Congratulations, guys. You got your wish. Hope you're f***ing happy.

If Kubiak steers Leinart to postseason success, no one will ever again be able to question his coaching acumen. If, however, the team implodes behind Leinart, then we'll know for sure how irreplaceable Schaub is. So it's basically lose-lose for 99% of the Texans' fan base.

So do you want Leinart to go 5-1 or not? :grins:

It's funny because the people who were arguing with the Schaub haters will be rooting hard for Leinart to win and if he does win there will be a serious debate.

Now I know how Denver feels.

Impossible. Everyone will quote him just to bash and you will have no choice but to read it.

I said in the Schaub debate thread a few weeks ago that he was the MVP of the team. I think we all realize that now.

We won't know that until they finish these 6 games. Until then you better hope you're wrong OR YOU HATE THE TEXANS.....

No doubt about it. Schaub is el capitan of this offense. Having said that, I believe in kubiaks offensive system and will be cheering for that kid leinart. If jake plummer was able to cut his ints by more than half, in just one training camp under Kubiak's supervision, then why not Leinart?

I'm not wrong. I want the Texans to make the playoffs and win at least one game. That may be possible with their remaining schedule. Finishing 3-3 or 2-4 should be enough to top Tennessee to get a home game in the wild card round. Then it depends who the opponent is.

It isn't like the Texans are losing an elite QB. He's just a game manager. Leinart can be a game manager. It isn't a big deal.

Heck, I'm trying to live the delusion.

Jacoby Jones has done nothing for people to wish him harm. It is only a football game.

The MVP of the offense is Foster, Tate, and the O-line. I could digress and say the D needs kudos too for the offense, but that's another story. Us running the ball well and ramming it in the throats of the D has made Schaub more of a game manager instead of needing to be a superstar and shoulder the offensive load.

All impressions I get point to Leinart really working hard to improve his game. But man... he sucks. Yates has the talent. Ughf. We can make it through the season fine, its the playoffs that we're screwed in.

So -- no chest beating until we see how Leinart fares in the playoffs. When it matters.
