Is there really point in the playoffs though? It would be similar to the year the Rockets went into the playoffs without Yao. We had a nice record, a 4th seed, and we knew we had no chance. It's actually kind of depressing thought.

It's like the football gods are punishing us for some reason. The one year Kubiak doesn't look like a clown, and we still aren't going anywhere.

You're right. They should shut it down at 7-3. No point in playing any more. Let's see what Yates can do the rest of the way. IR AJ, Foster and Tate just for the heck of it and bring in the practice squad. Let's see if they can be worse than the Colts the rest of the way.

Seriously, WTF? What's the point of going to the playoffs? IT'S THE FU**ING NFL PLAYOFFS! SOMEWHERE A TEAM WITH "HOUSTON" IN IT'S NAME HASN'T BEEN IN ALMOST 20 YEARS! I WANT PLAYOFF FOOTBALL!

This is not too bad they should get to 11 wins and get a bye. Than there 2 wins away from being in the superbowl I think we would have all taken before the year started....

Schuab is important but this is not 2009 when he was throwing for 300 every game b/c they couldnt run the ball w/ than slaton and the defense sucked so he couldnt make a mistake...

Now they got the best running game and a top defense making QB play less important. We just need Leinhart to go in there and manage the game and keep the defense honest.....

Dont get me wrong teams will make Leinhart beat them in the postseason and I find that kinda doubtufl but we shall see....

And on the bright side if the Texans go out there and win the Divison and make noise in the playoffs all the "ya well b/c peyton was out" talk is out the friggin window....

What is going on here?? Is there a point to the playoffs??? Are you a Houston football fan?? The point to the playoffs is that this city hasn't seen meaningful football games in about 2 decades, and we've been waiting for this for a LONG time. This is the NFL. A quarterback that doesn't throw interceptions, who is flanked by the league's best RB tandem and the best defense in the league will go FAR. We're not asking Leinart to be this year's Aaron Rodgers....we're just asking him to not be this year's Donovan McNabb.

Might be difficult to get that bye with only 11 wins, Ravens, Pats and Steelers should all be at 11 or 12 by the end of the season.

We've got a top 3 defense and a top 3 rushing attack. Teams like that usually have a pretty good chance in the playoffs. I still like our chances.

Without a good QB we will lose.
So much dependent on that single position...

    Return of "Ben Taub" Schaub?

No worries. All will be good.

    Sad but true.

You need one in the playoffs.

At this point our defense , needs to be all-time great. I never really cared about our playoff chances because once Peyton went down ...we were in. The question became what will we do in the playoffs.

    Sigh. sad day indeed.

Best running game in football plus a top-flight defense plus AJ coming back to help out Leinart. I like their chances to be fun to watch.

Guess we'll find out how good a QB coach Kubiak is.

I guess I could, but I'd have to go back in time to the first Stevie Era.

everything will be fine..schaub really wasn't a big part of the offence anyway..as long as leinart can make short passes and hand it off to the RBs we will win the AFC... we will still go 12-4 ...just wait and see..
