Since we know we have to endure Leinart, I'll throw it out there that I'd also like to see Yates take some snaps.

Happened in the 2nd when the Schaub QB sneaked out of the endzone.

    This is the saving grace.

In games where Schaub passed the ball fewer than 25 times, we have an AMAZING record.

Last week's blowout, we threw the ball less than 20 times.

The onus is on the OL and Arian now. They must go beast mode. Run the ball over everybody. Protect Leinart. Get the D to give him good field position.

Sack up, boys. We ain't dead yet.

If Leinart doesn't go pick crazy on us, i still think we will be fine (in terms of securing a playoff birth and possibly a win in the post season), but idk how far the guy has progressed, kind of excited/scared at the same time to see him play.

But will teams completely sellout to defend the run now? Lienart is going to have to show he can make some passes.

But now more then ever opposing D coordinators will pack the line and dare Leinart to throw. It will be interesting on how Kubiak will make Leinart's progression as easy as possible.

yep, didn't think about it but our best games this year happened with less pass attempts...If anything can be a silver lining it is that. We shall see. . .

Terrible news for texans fans. I still think they should be able to win the division against the Titans at this point in the season.

The titans don't worry me, the division is going to happen, what worries me is the potential beyond. . .

Kubiak still on 610 and they're asking him why there are multiple reports that Schaub is done for the season and he said they must be in a different meeting than him because that is not the case as of now. Claims if he knew that Matt was done he would say so.

Well the only thing we have going for us is the fact that our team is not successful only because of our QB. If Leinart can just protect the ball and get it to Andre and Arian then we might be ok....but **** this sucks.

    More Kubiak on 610:

Whether it be ABC or whoever, they're saying he's out for the season. Any idea on where these reports are coming from?

Not coming from me. I would tell you guys. I got nothing to hide. We'll work through this for a week, see the specialists, and a decision will be made. Someone is in a different meeting than me. I dont know what else to tell you.

Texans been able to win w/o Mario, Andre, Foster, etc. Can they win without Schaub?

We'll find out. We know Leinart will be our QB starting in 2 weeks. Can this team rise to the occasion? Can we continue to do that? We're working hard. We got confidence. We'll go out there and give it everything we got.

Do you feel your teams of the past would not have been able to respond like this team and if so, why have guys been able to respond?

It's deeper but this team has gained confidence along the way. Heres another blow but can Leinart step in and can everyone else play better?

No one is hoping it gets to this, but how far along is TJ Yates?

Doing a dang good job. Got all the tools to play in this league. He has not played, obviously, a lot of pro football. He'll be the #2. He'll have to make progress but we do have confidence in him.

Looking at the rest of the team, what guys have grown?

Barwin is a great example. He was DPOG. Hes been exceptional. On O, I think Dreesen, OD coming back from injury, obviously the depth at RB and Lawrence Vickers. Hes the guy leading the way.

    Other game balls besides Barwin?

On O, Arian. Could've had another 100 yard day. On ST, Nading. Those are our 3 guys.

How concerned are you about ST?

Im concerned. They're all involved. Those things cant happen. You let them go in 37-7 game but come up to bite you later in a 20-17 game.

    How has Jacoby progressed?

Hes not only progressed as a player but person. THe way he handles himself and prepares to play. Hes becoming a fine pro. Hes blocking well. Very proud how far he has come.

I think we need to go into Baltimore circa Trent Dilfer Superbowl and just make sure Leinhart doesn't make mistakes. Our defense has to continue to step up and Leinhart has to just not make stupid mistakes. Make the simple throws and leave it up to Foster and Tate.

Do you guys remember watching Leinart at all?

Talk about AWFUL....not quite as bad as Blaine Gabbert....but just bad qb play.

Get ready for 8 man fronts....JAX is gonna be really tough test.

Think first play against Jags should be play action deep ball to Andre to give Leinart some confidence and maybe fans some confidence.
