He is the same one that wanted the 49ers to suck for luck before week one. He is just as hormonally imbalanced as any fan. He has had his mind set that schaub is just another joe for months now and not the leader of a passing attack that has been better than rodgers' since 2008. This year schaub finally had a defense. RIP(recuperate in peace) schaub!
Ok everybody just take a step back and take a deep breath. Let's get serious and talk about how the gameplan is gonna go and most importantly how we are gonna keep WINNING. Because at the end of the day all that matters is getting the win. First, lets get over the shock factor. Yes Schaub is out (for who knows how long), and yes it is a big blow because he is irreplaceable, but let's just get over it for the moment. Let's get over the "Houston is cursed... typical houston news.. blah blah." Let's take a look at the positives. We're going into our bye. This means we basically have two weeks to get Leinart acclimated with the first team offense and for him to get plenty of reps in. Leinart is mobile! Say what you want about Leinart and his previous failures but the guy is a mobile QB in that he moves around the pocket and his capable of doing what Schaub doesn't: RUN! With our beast offensive line Leinart should get a lot of protection thus opening lanes for him to run or find the open receiver. How many times have we screamed and the TV for Schaub to run but then remember "oh yeah, it's Schaub, he doesn't run." Leinart at least gives us that aspect. Andre "Captain America" Johnson is coming back after the bye. This pretty much speaks for itself but just think about it for a sec. Yes, it's true our offense is centered around the run in Foster and Tate but let's not forget about our superhero Johnson. Just his presence alone on the field commands attention and double coverage. Kubiak HOPEFULLY will use more play actions and bootlegs with Johnson coming back. I'm pretty sure Leinart is able to hit the open receiver. 4 out of the 6 remaing teams we play have losing records. The only 2 games that are a threat are home against Atlanta and away at Cincinnati. Let's say we lose those two. Hell, we will still finish 11-5. That's pretty damn good with our backup QB starting. Not trying to get ahead here, but I do think with Leinart we are able to beat Jacksonville, Indy, Carolina, etc. Don't forget about our defense! Brian Cushing, J.J. Watt, Demeco Ryans, Jonathan Joseph, Brooks Reed, Connor Barwin, and most importantly WADE MOTHERFU**ING PHILLIPS! Nuff said. Look, i'm not saying we're a lock to win the superbowl with Leinart but I am saying that it's not all gloom and doom as it seems right now. The best case scenario is for Schaub to miss only a few weeks and come back and that's that. But if he is out for the rest of the season then Leinart is gonna have to step up. It's obvious we wont win a superbowl with Leinart but at least we can fight our asses off. Go Texans!!!!
I was talking in general terms, Lance puts MattJ in his place a lot. MattJ comes off as a typical troll at times.
I'll put it this way. I'm going to put a large sum of cash on Jacksonville after the Texans come out of the bye. @Jacksonville L Atlanta L @Cincinnati L Carolina W @Indy W Tennessee L
3-3...Texans win the division and host a playoff game. After that, all bets are off. We still have the top defense, top RB, top WR, top O-Line and very good TEs.
I don't even see three losses with that schedule, unless they're locked into a seed entering the final game and rest everyone. 4-2, outside chance of 5-1 or 6-0. When it'll hurt is playoff time. That said, I'm still not writing Schaub off. Maybe I'm naive, but I believe Kubiak when he says they're still considering all options. Schaub isn't a guy that depends much on mobility, and he does have a very high pain tolerance. I think he's out for six weeks, minimum... but unless the fracture is just horribly bad (and I doubt it's that, given his ability to play yesterday), I could see the Texans giving him a shot to prove himself after six weeks off. If he can find a doctor to say surgery isn't necessary, that is. (Yes, I know what Adam Schefter and Mike Freeman said. But national guys are always in a hurry to get the scoop, and the typical Lisfranc injury is a season-ender. Wait-and-see is less sexy.)
Seriously man, you need to stop posting the same things in different threads. They're not that great to begin with so why post them twice?
Leinart has an opportunity to resurrect his career. He's got a great o-line in front of him, two top ten RB's, one of the best WR's, great TE's and the number one ranked defense that'll give him short fields and low point totals to overcome. Lots of running plays, screen passes to the best RB receiver in the game and a few bootlegs.
