I'm iffy on it. I'd much rather activate him, have him in uniform, and hold him out if possible. It's not as if the passing game has been excelling in his absence. Just the threat of him going deep affects how the safeties play us.

I just hope we aren't going overboard with caution. No wins are a given.

agree that no wins are given, but I prefer losing him for 1 more game, than if he is not 100% ready, and got hurt again, and he misses 5 more games.

and with hamstring injuries, he could get hurt again, just running deep routes, look how he got hurt the 1st time. (just running, without any players tackling him).

look what happened with foster, he played too soon against miami, and got hurt again, when he could have played against the saints, and the texans could have won that with foster.

I'm convinced the grass at Reliant sucks. Many freak injuries where the guy goes untouched and is lost for the season. Welker, Demeco, and Andre just off the top of my head.

I agree the grass does stink at reliant but I don't think you can point to random injuries and blame it on the poor field.

It's not the actual grass so much as it is the tray system they use. They can do all they want...they'll never get those trays perfectly seamed together. You can see the outlines of every one. If they can't grow grass, the synthetic fields made today are very realistic and, in many cases, safer than the real thing.

I'm going to say they made the right call.

Now just imagine getting back to work with Johnson's deep post on the bootleg.

Is it just me, or have I seen little to no play-action/bootlegs since Andre's been out. It seems like we relied on these types of plays a lot more last year. This year with the run game being so well established while Andre's been out, just think of how much more effective it can be when he comes back.

Good call. I forgot that was on a boot.

Other than this play, though, I remember far less boots than we've been accustomed to the last season or two.

I've seen a few, but most of them have gone to OD or out of bounds. Not everyone can get as wide open as consistently as AJ can.

AJ coming back will benefit our RBs a lot too, they will find a lot more room to manuever as teams worry about AJ over the middle and deep.

Well if you are gonna miss a Texans game this season, that would be one of the few excuses I would use for misssing it.

There is never an excuse. I was in Jamaica for my honeymoon last week and watched the Browns game. This is why I picked her.

It hasn't been used as prominently, because it isn't nearly as effective without Johnson as the deep threat.

Yesterday was one of the first times Jones has been able to cash in on it, he stunk the first couple of games with Andre out.

Yep - all of a sudden you don't dare put a safety in the box.

AJ seems healthy, Manning on the mend and could return...This might be too easy if Schaub was healthy... We need to face some adversity this season...
