He was the same one who said that our O-Line was one of the dirtiest in the league. I give him props for giving us some love.
Seriously, this little personal vendetta you have against ascaptjack is getting really damn annoying. At least he posts coherent thoughts, and stays on topic. Also, you better believe the Texans would be favored in a home playoff game against ANYONE in the AFC. We're playing the best football in the NFL right now (outside of Green Bay). The Texans are the most complete team in the AFC as of right now.
And to think, we are doing this all without stars on both sides of the ball. This team will be scary once we get AJ back. Man now teams will have to focus not just on Foster, but also Andre. Also, I've got this guy on ignore so don't worry about it.
The key to the texans going anywhere is Arian Foster. If Foster can dial it up in the playoffs the texans are going to be hard to beat. If the texans have to rely on Shaub, they will get bounced quick. Problem is, what happens when there is 7 minutes in the 4th quarter and Ben has just put the steelers up a td and foster can't get passed the line of scrimmage? Or worse, Shaub throws a pick six after the steelers go up by a td and it is a 2 score game. Do you trust shaub? I don't.
This kid abdula is by far the biggest a hole on this forum. His been banned multiple times and his latest account has been rookiefied so that tells you a lot. A few weeks ago he was harassing a local radio host on twitter. He's been making us Texans fan who are humble look bad by being an arrogant SOB. He doesn't deserve to be on this forum.
Lol, what kind of scenarios are these?? How many teams would succeed in the situations you just listed?? And why would Arian Foster not be able to get past the line of scrimmage? How many times has that happened in the last 2 years? Sure, Schaub has his deficiencies, and he's not a quarterback that can take over a game, but he's also a guy that has proven that he CAN bring the team back (multiple games last year). Foster is a HUGE part of this team, but Tate, Johnson, and Daniels have all shown that they can take over a game too. This offense is going to be dangerous when Andre comes back.
That's fine, I don't know the guy personally like you do, but at least on this BBS, I haven't seen any evidence of him being a jerk (at least not with this current screen name). But lately, all you've done is call him out over and over again, when all he's doing is posting normally. If you have something against him personally, that's your business.....I'm just asking you to please keep it between you two. That's all.
I'd love to see the Steelers stack the line and try and solely stop Foster with AJ, Daniels, Walter and Jones out there and our ability to run the playaction bootleg. It's what Gary Kubiak dreams of.
dude, chill the heck out. you obviously stalk his posts and make it a point to mention his real name any chance you get. who the hell does that? let him be his own person. no one here cares about any personal issues you have with him. thats just childish. i mean you called him an a$$hole and an SOB in one post and he didnt even say anything worthy of a reply with those words. as for him making your humbleness look arrogant? LOL. or maybe youre mad because he didnt buy your used hair gel?
I'd be scared of any playoff team. The Texans have the talent to go all the way, but they could just as easily lose their first playoff game to anybody.
So many problems..... DeSean Jackson let his teammates down. His presence was missed but I respect Reid for sitting him. Not too many coaches would sit a star player in a must win game. Speaking of the benching, I think DeSean may be let go after the season. It's a shame to because you could tell how much he affects the opponents defensive game plan every week. Juan Castillo, WTF were you thinking? You need to go ASAP! How do you leave Fitzgerald, one of the game's best receivers covered by a rookie safety and linebackers during key moments of the game? Nnamdi should have been stuck to him like glue all game. He was last year and held him to 2 catches for 26 yards. With this BS scheme Fitzgerald had his best game of the season. In fact, you're using Nnamdi all wrong, just plain wrong. UGH!!! Reid, you've lost most of your games after leading in the 4th quarter only to blow those leads. You have the #1 rushing offense in the league, USE IT! I don't want to see short pass, incompletion, incompletion on a 4th quarter drive where you're trying to hold on to win. Run-run-run and milk the clock because you already know your defense is soft. Vick has looked less than stellar this season. I think it is unfair to compare what he has done to that unbelievable stretch he had over 7 games last season. That stretch would be awesome for any quarterback but it was an anomaly. Vick deserves some blame for his struggles but certainly not all of it. He looked horrible yesterday though. .....I could keep going on and on but I have to work
Well, here's one explanation to Vick's struggles. JasonLaCanfora Jason La Canfora Andy Reid tells reporters Mike Vick broke ribs early in Sun game. I can't imagine he practices much. Wow
Mini rant on Collinsworth: Did I really hear him slobbering all over the Pats defense at the end of the game? Saying something to the effect of 'I don't even know who half of these guys are but Belichick just has a way of making it work'. Hey Collinsworth, the Pats defense is garbage. Just because they beat up on the inept Jets offense doesn't mean Hoodie is a defensive mastermind.
The Patriots defense isn't that bad - their pass defense certainly gives up lots of yardage, but in total they are #15 in points against, and they've held 5 of their 9 opponents below their scoring average (3 above, 1 right at). They force a lot of turnovers to help make up for their yardage problems.
There were people who were defending the Texans defense last year after we were 4-2 also though. When push comes to shove, that defense is going to be the reason why they don't go far in the playoffs.
Sure - but these things aren't mutually exclusive. The Texans defense was routinely giving up 30 pts a game - the Patriots aren't anything like that. That said, the Patriots defense is average. In a general sense, an average defense is not going to cut it in the playoffs, so you're probably right that their defense will be the reason that they lose. My only point is that it's a far cry from being a terrible defense.
