Even if they lose, its a moot point unless the Ravens lose the following week as well (when we have our bye). They own all tie-breakers against us.
Ravens lose, Texans are the number one seed...at least for a week. When are the Ravens playing another bad team on the road? That's when they will have their next loss
does SUCK start at the Jets? Rocket River I am beginning to think . . . most teams in the league SUCK and the Texans *CAN* win the SuperBowl
As for tonights game. The Texans have 2 conference losses. The Jets have 3 conference losses and the Patriots only 2. As it stands now, the Jets beating the Patriots is better for the Texans tie breaker cause versus these two teams.
Best record in the AFC, best point differential in the NFL, best defense in the NFL. Is this real life?
Watching this snoozefest Jets-Patriots game. None of the AFC teams scare me besides the Ravens. I think the Texans can really come out of the AFC this year.
Yeah the Ravens really concern me...and it seems like it's setting up to be Texans vs. Ravens in the playoffs. Let's hope we run the table and get that home field. I think we beat the Jets and Pats...although it's hard to bet against Brady.
Their secondary is crap, I expect with a healthy AJ/Foster/Tate/Schaub/Daniels, we would have a field day against the Patriots. Our defense would make Brady work, especially with the best linebacker in the league, Cushing and the 2nd best CB in the league, Joseph.

Fast forward to 58 secs for Shannon Sharpe's thoughts on the Texans future: (spoilered to stop the autoplay) Spoiler <object width="480" height="390" id="mycbsiplayer_Y7P4hJL_B8OVgSTFETxy8JOg5r27zzik" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="mycbsiplayer" data="http://sports.cbsimg.net/swf/video/uvp/skins/Default/latest/Skin.swf"><param name="src" value="http://sports.cbsimg.net/swf/video/uvp/skins/Default/latest/Skin.swf"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="swLiveConnect" value="true"><param name="quality" value="high"><param name="flashvars" value="width=480&height=270&compAdsEnabled=true&compAdW=300&compAdH=60&pid=Y7P4hJL_B8OVgSTFETxy8JOg5r27zzik&partner=cbssports&autoplay=false&server=http://www.cbssports.com&smode=fit&uvpc=http://sports.cbsimg.net/video/uvp/config/uvp_default.xml&imageServer=http://sports.cbsimg.net&contEx=share,embed,related,sep5,sep6,sep8&fireOverlays=true"></object>
The Texans desperately need a bye. I know 1 seed is too much to ask, but a 12-4 record with a bye is something I really hope the team reaches for. It's just too difficult to beat a quality team on the road in a pressure atmosphere. And the Texans with their questionable mental strength and lack of experience especially need the home field. It's not paramount to success, as plenty of 13-3, 12-4 home teams get beat in their first playoff game. But it certainly helps a lot.
