because they don't think he's viable and they want to stick with orton but while losing with orton fan pressure won't let them stick to they plan they think is best
I laughed so hard when I saw that. Relevant: http://www.tebowing.com And picture for those who have YouTube blocked at work:
Wish I could hear what Bayless is saying now. I was sick early last week, so all I heard monday and tuesday morning was Bayless yelling on ESPN that he was right and Tebow was a winner and had the clutch gene.
They dont want him to fail per se, but they dont mind him failing. Rather than scheme to let Tebow eek out wins, they'll put him in uncomfortable situations to test his decision making. Because they need to see if Tebow can throw and play in the system that Fox wants to run. You can look at it as a conspiracy but it's just football. Makes no sense that you hire a head coach and then make him change his system to suit one borderline feasible player. Elway didn't come back to Denver to babysit Tebow, he came back to build a Superbowl winner. It's difficult to believe a guy like Elway is throwing Tebow under the bus as a tactic but it's eminently possible that he doesn't mind making Tebow prove to him that he can be an NFL quarterback in Fox's system. Tebow fans are going to see that as something nefarious, and honestly it's not really fair to a kid who has had no training camp and no support as a 1st round draft pick but if you're Broncos ownership you side with your HOF GM and coach, not Tebow.
In the ESPN story about Tebow remaining the starter this week, there was a comment that said, "I've got my #15 Tebow Jersey on for Halloween as my costume. When I open the door to trick or treaters I'm going to throw the candy behind them, and on the ground at their feet!" LULZ

"It's not about statistics, it's about wins and losses" - Tebow Jesus Christ doesn't allow him to lie people.
Tebow makes me in God.:grin: Seriously. This is even crazier than the whole "VY just wins" phenomenon back when we actually had true Schaub vs VY debates.
It should make you believe that human beings can let go of their superstitions and biases and not be strucken with illogical fear when faced with innovation. The dogmatic article of faith being that you cannot run the ball without a pocket passer and win in the NFL. Obviously you can... to a degree... we've seen early Vick run some semblance of the read option back in his early days in Atlanta. I guess going beyond the idea of a scrambling quarterback the next stumbling block of bigotry is that a white QB could do some of the same things. I'm not comparing Vick to Tebow... they're different players but the idea that a qb can affect games with his feet as much as his arm in the NFL. Longterm I'm not sure how these wins even translate for Denver. They're winning some exciting games for fans but I'm still convinced that Fox and Elway need to ascertain FOR CERTAIN whether Tebow can throw consistently enough to be Fox's QB. I give them props for actually throwing out the gameplan and giving the ball to Tebow to run with to see how far it gets them. And honestly maybe they can win longterm with the option... but does Elway want to be the sacrificial guinea pig GM that tests that for the rest of the league? If Tebow ends up winning even 2 more games this year their offseason is going be a ****storm raining on Denver from all the bigots, haters, fanboys, faithful and other idiots who get riled up over Tebow. That said, you can toe all the conventions to obtain a prototypical (even pro bowl) pass-first QB and end up with a Tony Homo, Flacco or Grossman can implode your season with boneheaded plays on any given Sunday. If you have no other options and can take the heat, you might as well give Tebow a shot to try to win his way. Lol who in their right mind is going to bet on Denver versus the Jets? I can't think of a single quarterback who would make that Denver team a favorite with the players they have on their roster. They traded away their best receiver and their best 2 rushers are injured on a short week.
Tebow can throw it once if he wants to, he will still win! Tebow is a winner! Carrying Fantasy Teams and NFL teams since 2010'!
I feel the same way. As much as I hate all the Tebow fanatics, nothing would make me feel better than to see Rex Ryan at the podium when he loses to Tebow. This is probably the one time I will root for Tebow lol.
Thought this was kind of funny from John Fox regarding Tebow "Do whatever the hell it takes," he laughed. "I mean, what the hell? You don't get points for style in this league. Let me tell you something: My man is really good in this offense. You know what I mean? "If we were trying to run a regular offense, he'd be screwed." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/John-Fox-Tim-Tebow-would-be-8216-screwed-821?urn=nfl-wp11923
