Root for Oregon simply for Case's Heisman chances. I'm personally rooting for Stanford, because if Oklahoma State loses to OU, and Stanford goes to the title game, that means the Rose Bowl becomes an at-large bid. Creating even more chances for UH to get picked. Plus it would push Oregon out of the top 12 (maybe). So really, you can't go wrong, something good comes out of either team winning/losing.
I'm rooting Stanford. I don't see any scenario in which Case gets the Heisman, so let's open that Rose Bowl up.
yep. I hope Stanford wins out, and Ok. State loses to OK in the bedlam game. This gives Stanford a chance to go against LSU in the NC game.
Something special is going to happen in the city of Houston!!! (not tmac related). Hoping Stanford wins and OK ST loses to OK
Loser of this Stanford/Oregon game probably goes the Rose Bowl. They love their Pac10/Big10 match ups...
Depends on how the year finishes. At the very least, getting the Rose Bowl to open up to an At-Large bid helps a little bit, because Oregon would likely get snatched up by the Orange, Fiesta, or Sugar bowl before the Rose got to choose (I believe they'd have the last at-large choice).
Well, Luck and crew are getting dismantled. This, along with Boise's loss, may vault Keenum into the top 3 for the Heisman. Luck, Weeden, and Keenum in NY would be great. If we win out, Keenum will have a real shot at it, especially if OSU loses to OU.
Assuming LSU and Stanford make the title game, Sugar and Rose would get the first two at-large picks. Sugar would most likely take the SEC runner up, and then Rose would likely take Oregon. Then you have the remaining at-larges selected. Order of the remaining at-larges & BigEast Champ (which doesn't have a home bowl) is Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange this year. http://www.bcsfootball.org/news/story?id=4819597
UH gets a BCS boost and now perhaps a Heisman boost with Luck looking average? Of course now Luck will lead a big comeback.
Edit: nvm. Got it. Although I guess it's a moot point since Stanford's goose looks pretty cooked. OSU better not lose to OU, or this is gonna get really messy.
Tell me again why Luck is so wonderful, he looks very average to me. Keenum reminds of a QB who plays for the Saints.
UH controls their own destiny at this point. They win out, they get a BCS game. They lose, they don't. Nothing anyone else does matters.
I don't know if we even need Southern Miss to keep winning anymore. Really just depends on how far Boise St. drops in the rankings. I'm expecting them to drop to around 15ish, in which case our winning out would guarantee us a BCS game.
