I think that bridge was burned with the Bleachergate BS back in '01. We prefer to play Rice since they agreed to do the Houston games at Reliant.
Oh, I can guarantee you UH would play UT any day in Reliant stadium. The offer has, and will, forever be on the table. It's just a shame it wasn't constructed back then.
Of course they would. It would be the most profitable game all year for them. The announcement of playing UCLA though is way more appetizing for longhorn fans than playing U of H. As for turning our back on Texas teams. What team is leaving behind 2 texas teams for greener pastures in the Big East?
LMAO if your high school stadium's bleachers would have held up the last time UT-Austin branch came to town, you might have a case
You don't really get it, do you? The only reason I'm bothering suggesting UT play us is because it's really annoying hearing people talk about how much better they are than us when they won't even bother playing us. Put your money where your mouth is. I really don't care about playing UT. But if people are going to run smack, you need to at least be open to the idea of backing it up on the field. By the way, I was mainly pointing out how absurd the "we prefer to play Rice because they agreed to play in Reliant" excuse is. Care to explain why UCLA is "more appetizing"? (can't wait to hear this doozy) And please, don't even try to play the guilt trip card. We got Rice and Utep included in CUSA, we're leaving them in a better situation than they were before that. Our exit is not torpedoing the conference, unlike some other institutions I can name. In addition, we'll continue to play our former conference mates, unlike some other institutions I can name. UH has but a fraction of the sway that some schools have over the destiny of others.
I'm pretty sure Rice bending over and taking it in the butt like the Big 12's village w**** year in and year out has more to do with UT not playing us than any bleacher nonsense. P.S. Why won't UT play at Rice's stadium, brah? P.P.S. Scoreboard.
That was a BS penalty. Great tackle by Vaccaro, and that should've been a stop but officials give Missouri a first down.
