It's awesome that you lost weight in the beginning by doing cardio only. But you are mistaken in thinking that lifting weights doesn't burn fat. It's all about getting the metabolism going.
Yeah, I know that, but the worse thing you can do as someone who was trying to drop a lot of weight is jump right into lifting weights. But you're right though, cardio will only take you so far in losing weight. I bought a power tower about a month ago, and using that every other day does wonders.
Good point. At some point, I think too much emphasis can be put on "losing weight". For example, I gained back about 5 pounds last month, but my pants size still went down. People forget: muscle is heavy. Just because you gain weight doesn't mean you aren't getting healthier.
