We used to have ATT but there were always errors on the bills and service was spotty. We went to Cellular One and it has been a good experience, but I would like to have an Apple I Phone and ATT has exclusive rights, I think. Any thoughts?
AT&T hasn't had exclusive rights since February 2011. I recommend Verizon. Sprint also has the iPhone btw.
Probably depends on where you live, where you go, and how you use the phone. You could end up with bad coverage picking the wrong one.
does anyone have any experience with the company simple mobile? i think i get the gist of how it works, but wondering if its safe/reliable and all that.
mind clarifying a bit? from reading the site, it seems you basically buy a phone you want, then you buy a SIM card from them, use that in the phone, and then activate it through them. that sound right?
AT&T has best speeds, because the Iphone 4S does not support LTE(Verizon) or WiMAX(Sprint). Iphone4s only supports CDMA(3G)/GSM(3G)/HSPA+(faster 3G). Sprint is so overloaded, that there were complaints of slow speed after the Iphone 4S launch. Sprint does not have the capacity. They are in the middle of a huge network upgrade for 3G and 4G, where they are reprovisiong Edge for CDMA and trying to upgrade to LTE at the same time. It's a mess until 2013. You don't want to be stuck for 2 years during the massive change. If you have absolutely sworn of AT&T due to bad customer service and billing issues, then Verizon is your only choice left.
Sprint doesn't use EDGE lol I don't think Sprint is doing too well in terms of data speeds right now either but I think with some time they might figure something out.
Anyone check out c-spire? They have coverage in texas and they offer the iphone. Plans are better than at& t as well.
It's a regional carrier from Mississippi who uses Verizon as it's domestic roaming partner. Unfortunately, I don't think us Texas folks can sign up for their service.
If you still think ATT has exclusive rights to the Iphone, then you are no doubt getting one for the novelty. I'd check around at some of the android offerings. As far as the carrier, there are lots of options. You really need to state whats important to you; coverage, price, quality, ect ... I prefer coverage so I go with Verizon. No matter how cool and fancy your phone is, its a bit useless w/out the right coverage.
This. Sprint happened to be the cheapest and is the only one with unlimited data, so I went with them.
