    From Larry Coon in response to a question a few minutes ago (not by me):

    Larry, any chance we'll have a season soon if the split must be 50-50?


    Larry Coon: -- That might make it tough. They're together on a 50% split, but have a big gap in the system issues. The league will bend a little -- but probably not enough for the players. So they'll tell the players that in order to meet their needs on the system, they'll have to come down farther on the revenue split.

    50% is a big psychological hurdle. I don't know if the players go from 50% to 49%. The players will be faced with the choice of: A) Coming down on the split; B) Giving up more of the system; C) Saying no.

    My bet is on C, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
