Mittens because he's the most qualified of the GOP to be president. I want Obama to win but I don't want an unqualified opponent. What if something goes wrong and renders Obama completely unelectable, but the other guy on the ballot is Palinesque? We're screwed as a country. I'm not willing to risk that.

Paul is much more qualified than Mittens. Palin hell no, she was under qualified to be president of her school board.

I like Paul... as a senator. He has too many ideals I disagree with and he's too idealistic for me to ignore that fact.

    Credentials?

    Roemer:
valedictorian of Bossier High School in 1960
    Harvard College in 1964
MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1967.
member of the United States House of Representatives from 1981 to 1988.
52nd Governor of Louisiana, from 1988 to 1992

After the 1991, The Sterling Group specialized in international trade of plastic raw materials between the US and Mexico

Roemer has in recent years been an investor and banker. He formed one company that built retirement housing for retirees near universities, with alumni from each university being the target buyers. He also founded Business First Bank, based in Baton Rouge.

On March 3, 2011, he announced the formation of an exploratory committee to prepare for a possible run for the 2012 presidential nomination of the Republican Party. Roemer stressed that campaign finance reform would be a key issue in his campaign. Pledging to limit campaign contributions to $100 per individual, Roemer appeared as one of five candidates at a 2011 March forum in Iowa sponsored by the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Very tough call. Cain the molester or Perry the stoner. Both would be laughably beaten.

PS Gingrich is a joke, too.

Romney would be the toughest, but he negates an Obama weakness as they both look like they feel extremely ill at ease around ordinary non-elite folks. It is amusing to see them all of a sudden don a flannel shirt or some non-WS type outfit. Obama does have the basketball thing, but he has to be carefull as you know who likes to play bball the most.

Both seem to lack any strong core beliefs though Romey is country club moderate all the way and Obama is a sort of Ivy League Liberal/centrist.

Obama is a bit better I guess when he harangues a working class audience in his tone and content. Poor Romney is sort of like Dukakis on the tank when addressing non Wall Streeters..

Well said and I agree Romney has the only chance because the only shot to beat Obama is if folks get out to vote just so they can vote against Obama. There is no inspiring unifying GOP candidate so playing the safe defensive guy while hoping the aforementioned scenario unfolds is the only bet. This race reminds me of Kerry/Bush where a Clinton could have beaten GWB but the best the Dems could come up with was Kerry.

I just got through seeing former President Bill Clinton on The Daily Show, talking to Jon Stewart. Clinton is the best reason I know to use in an argument against term limits. He would have beaten George W. Bush easily in 2000, we would have stayed out of the disaster that has been Iraq, and I also believe that the economy would have been a hell of a lot better over the last several years, relative to what we have experienced. Oh, well.

Ron Paul's "five" gesture is hilariously creepy.
