I'm ok with that too. Never trust the coach. Should've listened to Andre himself. 6 weeks.

Give 'Dre the rest....finally Kubiak uses his mind instead of his ass.

What is the rush back to a Cleveland game?

Sounds like it is more like after the bye week. Oh well could beat Tampa.

Andre Johnson will miss his fifth consecutive game for the Texans as the All-Pro wide receiver missed practice Friday and was ruled out for Sunday's game against Cleveland by head coach Gary Kubiak.

"He did work out today with the training staff, worked very, very hard, so we're back on the track that we want to be on," Kubiak said. "But obviously, he's not ready to go yet, so once again we got to have guys step up and this team's got to continue to rally together and take up for his absence. He's very close. I know ya'll are tired of hearing that, but he is very close, but he will not go this week."

For the first time all week, Johnson spoke. He said he suffered a slight setback Monday and has been sore ever since. Johnson isn't sure when he'll return

"To be honest, I haven't really targeted any date," he said. "At first, I just felt like I'll miss a couple games and I'll be back out there. It just all depends on how your body responds. I thought I would be back playing by now. I'm not, so right now I just really can't set a date. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

"Like I said, I know fans and everybody else wishes I could be out there playing, but I want to be out there just as bad as everybody wants me out there. I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'm just working hard at it."

We should all be glad hes not out for the season. we all know what andre can do in the regular season. hes done it for years. its about having him warmed up and healthy if hes back in week 10, the so be it. as long as he's back period.

Theres no such thing as a miracle surgery and everyone should be worried if he was able to go this week, because now way does someone recover that fast.

With our Schedule . . . i don't see a reason to rush him back.

well Andre Johnson, said he would be back in 2 weeks.

The doctors after the hamstring surgery told him, its was going to be 6 weeks.

My worst fear is that he tried to go full speed at practice, and he reaggravated it.

If the Texans were struggling, and in danger of not winning this division, Andre would be rushed back.

They're not in danger... thus he isn't being rushed. Pretty good win-win.

Looking forward to watching the Titans-Bengals on Red zone... one of those teams is going to get exposed.

The Bucs lost Gerald McCoy to a torn biceps yesterday. I'm hoping a heavy dose of Foster and Tate will help mitigate AJ's absence for one more game. If he can rest this week, and then through the bye, I bet he's going to be 100% ready by the time we play Jacksonville in 3 weeks. CAN'T WAIT.

Don't need him, just let him rest.

No point and even more reason to sit him due to our upcoming bye week.

AJ, just rest up 2 more weeks!

This is starting to get old and a bit worrisome. AJ should of been back by now, Kubiak has said, "He ran hard on Monday, took a big step on being closer to returning, then he has been given the day off, then ruled out on Friday for the past 3 weeks now?" I don't know what the deal is, is Andre hurt worse then everyone expected, did he have a huge setback in practice? The Texans haven't needed Andre for a few weeks since playing inferior opponents.
