Good comparison. As ridiculous as No Ordinary Family was, I liked it. That show didn't know were it was going; found their footing too late. The main cast was fun to watch and wasn't as annoying as Terra Nova characters. Terra Nova has a lot of potential but right now it's terrible. I was excited the first 30 minutes of the pilot after that it has gone down hill. Didn't care that I missed last weeks show due to Baseball.
I've watched all the episodes, and I like the series so far. It's a bit helter-skelter from episode to episode, but still pretty enjoyable. Hopefully they don't get rid of it. It's more watchable than Falling Skies (although I thought that was watchable, too).
I'm still watching each episode...and I can say, other than some cheesy character interaction, I think the show is starting to pan out a bit. I'm getting more interested in the characters...I really like the wildcard that is the bar owner. Also...that parasite scene was pretty disgusting. Anyone else still around on this one?
Yeah, I'm still watching and liking how the characters are panning out. Taylor is a badass. Think more people would enjoy it if they just took it for light fare, it's not too deep but still enjoyable.
I've dialed back expectations. Hoping the show improves is what's keeping me around more than anything else.

I think it's on the edge of getting renewed or dropped, last I read it was still doing very decent numbers for FOX, not sure if it's enough to justify the cost.
You must watch a lot of TV. I have so many things I want to watch but don't have time. That's why I prefer to DVR or Netflix olders things that I know will be worth my time.
I thought I would have wavered and lost interest in this show. But, that hasn't happened and I'm still watching.

If they would curtail a few of the sappy/corny moments, and stop making every single person's motivation for anything being trying to save/rescue some family member/person they love (becoming extremely cliche) I'd be way more into this show. As it is, I do watch it recorded, but only when bored.
I am personally getting bothered at how the core characters . .. do something kind illegal and wrong without any real consequences Son breaks in and steals drugs .. . . and pppsssttt . .. nothing really happens to him In fact they act like it didn't happen . . .beyond a small mention meanwhile they torturing the kids boss in the next room The Leader is such a hard *ss . . . but he basically lets the detective do what ever the hell he wants including hide stuff from him . . . disobey orders . . . .disrupt the community the Family is like the fricking King and Queen of Terra Nova now and it is just getting kind of sickening Rocket River . . . yet still i watch . . . i need to find some new shows
What ever happened to the part where the son gets his girl from the future for doing the sixers' work? Is that still pending? I thought he was to give them the drugs and his girl would come through the portal? I agree...that this family gets special treatment by Taylor...but I believe that is only because Taylor needs the father to serve his own goals and needs the mother for her doctor skills. If Taylor banished the guy's son, then he may alienate the family to the point where they probably become sixers just to be with their son. But, I get what your saying.
I still have this show on my DVR; I watch it still thinking it could get better. The story can really just turn on its head and be great. FRINGE completely changed its plot and now is one the best/underrated shows on TV. Terra Nova is not good and I don't think FOX is going to let it turn into a show like FRINGE: Great show with a mythos that no one watches. Fox is trying to find that show that people can just drop in at any point in the season and know everything that is happening in one hour like almost everything on CBS. I stopped watching Sanctuary when it was apparent that blond girl with the gold dual guns wasn't coming back, maybe the second season. They strung us along for a while telling us she might be back. After her departure the show went down hill. I can't believe they kept this show instead of Stargate Universe; another show that found its footing too late.
She suppose to come on the NEXT TRIP so I am guess that has not happened yet. [Though now we see they can bring people over at any time] Why did this village that has been around for years becomes so dependent on 1 family in so quick a time? there are other doctors This is the 1st ExCop [who happens to be an ExCon but they still glaze over that alot] [BTW why did HE GOTO jail for the third child and not both parents? Seem they both broke the law. Then they turned around and let the child live . . .so what was the point? Seems like. . third child shows up . . pay the fee . . move on with your life] Rocket River
Man, with the questions you're asking, I'm surprised you're even watching the show at all. Terra Nova is nowhere near good enough for that kind of in-depth analysis. lol
