I was so looking forward to this season but like it's been said it's really dragging. Combine that with the crappy writting and unrealistic even comical situations and I'm not sure I'll tune in anymore. Next episode is 4th and goal for me.
Old dude's "no firearms on mah property" decree is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on this show, it'll be the impetus behind another totally avoidable contrived situation next week.
When he went hunting... Spoiler The old man doesn't want them near the barn. The good looking girl seemed upset that they would kill the little girl if she was bit but the old man told her not say anything by looking at her. I'm guessing he's got people in the barn that he doesn't want them to kill and that's why he wants their guns.
Those of you actually following the comic version: what is the most cost effective way to catch up on the book? Just buying the trades?

It boggles my mind that this show thread has 400 posts. Barely into the season it has more posts than the thread for the entire run of Breaking Bad's season 4.
Makes no sense at all, along with the well scene. I don't think I'm going to make it through the whole season. Oh well...
I'm thinking they try to pack in the necessary zombie gross out action in these 5 minute scenes to compensate for the lack of zombies in all the drawn out human interactions. I'm sure somebody higher up the creative chain is hearing the clamor for more zombie stuff.
Breaking Bad doesn't suck. The Walking Dead does. It's just like the news. Feel good stories (ie things that don't suck-Breaking Bad) dont get much air time. Crappy stuff going on in the world (ie things that suck-Walking Dead) get all the coverage. I'm going to keep watching cause I have a zombie fetish. Someday hollywood will get it right and make a well thought out zombie series or i'm going to win the the lotto and do it myself. I don't need plot lines. Random people trying to survive and killing zombies is all that's needed. That's drama enough!
Reading your post finally gave the answer to what movie you cold compare this season to. The Hulk, the Ang Lee crapfest. That movie dragged on so bad with emotional and mushy Hulk scenes when all we really wanted was to see Hulk smash *****!! That's why the Norton version was soo much better, cut hte emo crap and smash *****!
It's more the cop's response..."Sure, we're camping outdoors in tents in the middle of an apocalyptic zombie outbreak & we've had multiple people killed by zombies attacking at night but those are your rules so I'll just agree immediately with no argument and round up our guns and every one of us will be totally ok with that and it will never be mentioned again." Real people do not behave like this.
