Chuck's developed into a pretty good passer.

Totally disagree with you there, I think Chuck is just as bad at offense as those guys were at defense.

DD, why you no like Chuck for okay offense, but like Brooks/Budinger for bad defense.

Because Brooks and Bud are not as bad on defense as most layman think they are...

The Rockets scored 114.4 points per 100 posessions while "bad at offense" Chuck Hayes was on the floor (109.9 when he sat). Sure doesn't look like "bad at offense" was bad enough to drag the rest of the offense down.

Funny for one of your kind to call others "layman" [sic].

Brooks, Bud, K-Mart, Scola are inexcusable at defense. There's no way denying it. Watching games and witnessing their "positioning", "footwork" and "effort" is a threat for my eyes, these guys are all offense and ain't able to defend any guard(or forward in Scola's case).

brooks is not as good offensively as chuck is defensively.

boo :( i miss basketball, i have been trying to stay away from the rockets forum and consuming my time with the texans.

watching the rockets compete night in and night out (save for that pathetic start to the season) last season was a lot of fun. I pray the lockout ends soon.

People said we would get worse without Shane and his defense, and we got better, same thing will happen without Chuck.

Folks just have a hard time letting go of the familiar - and embracing the future.

Hayes is such a vital part of this team. Did everyone forget what happened with Portland when Hayes got hurt? We lost 2 games against them in which LA scored 25 points 11 rebounds and 27 pt 13 reb . Then when chuck came back, he shut down LA holding him to 14 points 3 rebounds.

Howd that work out when chuck got injured? If Dwight or Nene = future, yes. If Jordan hill or Hasheem Thabeet = future, unlikely.

Yes. One of your kind. A euphemism for "a disgusting and ignorant creature such as yourself."
