Sure, it would be healthier, we are a poor steward of our resources.

That's one of those questions that is impossible to answer.

From the standpoint of biodiversity yes, but consider that as we are starting to move out into space we are on the verge of spreading Earth's biology to other planets or to possibly preventing a global catastrophe like a meteor impact so we could end up saving Earth's biosphere.

Also if humans didn't rise to prominence what's to say some other species doesn't and do just as much or more damage to Earth's biodiversity.

The earth doesn't need us. It doesn't need a healthy livable surface either. It's a big rock floating around in space. Either way, we are just a small part of its history.

Who knows what our purpose is, or the earth's for that matter? Maybe Rogan is right, and our purpose is to abuse the place. Maybe that's good. Maybe it's bad. Maybe it's way off.

And if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass a'hoppin.

Yep. The earth could care less. The other animals living on the earth on the other hand probably wished we were wiped out by our own stupidity.

Yes. but it does not matter, humans are just a tiny dark point in the history of the earth even though humans are the most fierce, selfish, destructive and clueless creature that the earth ever seen. Earth will overcome humans eventually.

Doubtful. Millions of Species supposedly die out everyday
and would . .. regardless of humanity.
As stated the Earth is just a ball of rock and water.

Question: What good is something that has no use?
Without humanity . . . .what use is the Earth? a big ole intergalactic Zoo?

The planet has numerous times in its history gone through periods of mass extinction, it'll happen again, signs are pointing towards the planet going in that direction. I think you are placing too heavy an expectation from humans. We are a representative of nature, which at its core is chaotic, why would we be any different?! If anything all we are doing is destroying ourselves not really the planet.

Better off for who? Without us, it wouldn't matter. The Earth would simply exist without questioning what condition it would be better off in.

I feel like you're trying to make some strawman point here, but my response is who cares?

There is no thing as an objective value - the only value that we can be aware of is value as it relates to humans. Consequently, the earth, or even the universe is ours to use as we like, and that's all that matters.

    Yeah, this.

If you mean less pollution, then of course.
