This. In season one, every little move was very well calculated. From escaping the zombies in the shopping center (create a distraction with the red ferarri to putting zombie goo all over you so they don't smell you). This 2nd series seems a bit off to me so far, from the very first episode. Dale is supposed to be keeping watch, yet a herd of 200 zombies come out of nowhere in broad daylight and the gang has to hide under cars? Really? And then trying to get the medicine out, it was a good scene, but so poorly planned. Shane distracts, Otis gets medicine, you hook back up, and leave. And also, the whole time I'm thinking maybe Glenn will go look for them (he's been the savior so far so why not now?) but for some reason, he's sitting there chatting it up with the chick...... Still a good watch, but season 1 was better so far IMO.
The locker room 'might' have had windows to escape from; the windows were not in sight. Whereas the windows in the gym were a sure way out.
Hey dude, go back and watch the scene. Otis clearly states that the locker room has windows, that they're more his size, and that he'll jump out one of them and double back to meet Shane on the football field.

I could've sworn that he said the locker room most likely has bigger windows. Either way, that whole scene should've been done better.
Little comment about the comic, which is really worth picking up. Spoiler Just read issue 24 where Rick gives the speech about how they themselves are the walking dead. This is a damn good series!
Otis could have used the jeep (horn) to distract the zombies (Pied Piper) and then doubled back around at a designated time.
the acting in this show, from each episode to the next, IMO, is hit or miss. Shane was barely intelligible to me in the last episode with his thick Southern accent. the actor who plays Rick is a theatrically trained British actor, yet you wouldn't know during his rambling dialogues. for me, the best acting on this series was when Andrea lost her sister Amy in the attack on the camp in Season 1 Episode 4. step it up, casting!
Didn't they do that exact same thing in Season 1 when they were escaping the store? Plenty of options for them to have made it out alive. But I guess I could understand when you're under time and pressure to save a dying boy, horde of zombies between you and your goal, you're not gonna think clearly.
This episode tonight will determine whether I continue to watch the series every week or tape the last ten episodes and watch the entire season in one sitting. I can see advantages in both choices.
Make sure you stay tuned for the after show, 'Talking Dead' with Cast of the show Glenn and Maggie....
