Masterful job by Dom. Kinnear in the 2nd half of the season. He found a lineup that worked and rode it all the way through. Took some mixing and matching but lovely to see the end result.

OH and Tally Hall better be in a USMNT camp at the start of 2012.(Then again it's Klinsy so I'm sure he's looking for a Mexican-American or German-American that isn't starting in Mexico or Germany, to give a call-up too. Or some GK he loves a la Robbie Rogers that he can give a call-up too. But I digress with my Klinsmann irritation).

I've had beef with Kinnears man-management over the past few seasons re. certain players and preferential treatment but he is a quality coach and that's undeniable. Tactically underrated amongst MLS coaches imo.
Let's not forget Chris Canetti for the work he's done. There's been a lot of misses re.player acquisitions but he does a great job in getting 2 or 3 pieces that fit properly and he's done that again this season.

 

Tally Hall has been really good. He was on his A game tonight for sure. But you're right about his chances to get a call-up to the national side. Tim Howard is obviously the first-team keeper and Klinsmann seems to really like Bill Hamid as the backup. It looks like it's going to be those two guys for quite some time.

 

Dynamo also qualify for Champions League.

 

That's right. I had forgotten about that part of it. Although, admittedly, playing in the CCL is a double-edged sword. It's a great honor, but it can also drain your players late in the season. FC Dallas' late season slide can in part be attributed to how many games they were forced to play late in the season.

Brek Shea, Dallas' star, in particular looked drained. He was playing league games, CCL games and national team games. Once his level of play declined, the whole team's level of play fell.

 

I think the Dynamo will have to sign players to add more depth to their roster in the offseason/transfer window for next year.

 

We've got a hard-fought match here to determine who will face the Dynamo in the MLS Cup. LA leads 2-1 in the 61st minute.

Both of these teams are really good, but LA is incredible. They just have so many ways to hurt you. Robbie Keane finishes about as well as anyone in the world. Landon Donovan, is...well, Landon Donovan, Chad Barrett is a big target in the box and Beckham continually puts up great service from all angles. That's to say nothing of players like AJ DeLaGarza, Mike Magee (who has scored a goal in every game this postseason) and Juninho.

As if the opponent won't be difficult enough, I heard at halftime of this game that it has been confirmed that Brad Davis will miss MLS Cup. Huge loss, but maybe the guys will rally around that.

 

It looks like it will be Dynamo vs. Galaxy in the final. How are San Jose Earthquakes fans feeling right now?

It's going to take an all-hands-on-deck performance from the Dynamo to come away with the cup two weeks from now. The Galaxy are loaded with talent and they are playing well.

 

Dynamo vs. Galaxy is soccer's version of Rockets-Lakers or Astros-Dodgers(in the 80's).

 

He owns a quarter of it. The other quarter is owned by Gabriel Brener.

 

America is too busy watching the kind of football that doesn't suck.
