NOW I'm looking forward to it even more, and from the looks of it, they really are trying to utilize the 3D feature, not just some upgrade gimmick....
I saw Napoleon Dynamite at the River Oaks theater when it was first released. The audience that night was the best movie watching audience I have ever been a part of. You knew it was going to be good as soon as the opening song came on and people were singing along to the White Stripes.
They should have stopped at one, left it as a cult classic. Instead Hollywood **** on it. They **** on everything.
Saw it last night on a free preview at MarqE. I enjoyed it. See it in 3D as it's a big part of the comedy in the movie.
Saw midnight showing, good movie, what I was expecting. Better than the 2nd IMO, but didn't really like the 2nd, was good for 1 viewing for me but I'd probably watch this one a second time in theaters. They actually utilize 3D and not just some up convert gimmick to gain more dollars. Good lord Maria is smoking......
Saw it last night; definitely better than the second movie. It wasn't as good as the first obviously, but I really liked it. It's also actually worth seeing in 3D (the effects weren't an afterthought).
A few things surprised me: A) A lot of people don't even realize this movie is out. Seems like they might not be advertising much? (To be fair, I don't really watch TV so I don't know) B) The place I expected to be showing it, and would have the best crowd (Alamo Drafthouse) had no showings at all. In fact almost none of the theatres were showing it last night, but are today. C) I saw it at Memorial City Mall and it was completely dead. There was maybe 20-25 people tops.
Was it just me or did you catch an ever so brief glimpse of...let's say a special area from the back?
yup, going up the stairs? Wouldn't be surprised if it was a body double. Went to the First Colony showing, fair amount of crowd, may 80 or so, seemed more than of a crowd than the midnight showing of Tower Heist
