Ok this whole thing has gotten pretty silly. Saying a team 'could" win a championship isn't even making a prediction. There are a few teams that "could" win a Championship. Also a prediction is a statement. I don't see the big deal with me saying the Lakers will win the Championship. I don't like the Lakers so hopefully I'm wrong.
If KD and WB make the appropriate improvements, the Thunder will take the West. Regardless of what Kobe's docs say, he's never going to be the old Kobe. The only way the Lakers have a real chance is if Bynum elevates his game on a consistent basis, which isn't going to happen.
Yeah and we don't even know if Bynum can stay healthy enough. Still stand by my prediction though if there is a season. As for the Thunder it will be interesting to see how they do. Hopefully Harden is inserted into the starting lineup. I'm not down on Westbrook like many others but i don't know for some reason still don't think they will make the finals yet.
Completely agree with everything you've written. I forgot to touch on the mental issues at play with that team. My goodness, it should be fun watching Mike Brown handle that nutcase of a team.
If the Lakers got swept with a good coach, do you think that the same team (only changing coaches) is going to win the title with a bad coach?
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spo...yant-lebron-james-kevin-durant-john-wall.html Durant, Ariza pick Kobe to take lebron....John wall was first player to choose lebron(note he is signed by lebron's marketing company and even he mentioned IF he plays to his strengths )
Not quite sure anyone on here is disputing that. The issue touched on was having Mike Brown coaching Kobe and then dealing with the other mental cases on that team.
It is a prediction. Saying a team could win the championship is saying they have the potential to win it, thus it's a prediction. A "safe" gamble. Saying Lakers will win the championship is practically an all-in to a bad bet. But whatever.
Yep, that divorce probably took half his money. That sucks where marriage is now a for profit business in the states, just look at the whole real housewives gig
How is "the real housewives" a for profit business? Most of those couples (since some of the ladies on those shows are single) were married even before "The Real Housewives" came into existence on Bravo. They didn't get married to appear on the show. Anyway, still sucks for Shaq seeing as Shaunie is now making bank with the "Basketball/Football and now Baseball wives" franchise. Nonetheless, I don't think Shaq is any financial peril as it seems to have been insinuated. The guy has a crapload of businesses that he's invested in and draws a nice profit from. He'll be fine even if he's not multi-millionaire wealthy.
Why is LA viewed as such a circus? I just don't see it. At most I see players (Odom, Artest) not focusing on Bball when they should. Plus it's still Kobe's team, and if he approves of Mike Brown, who has not had any bad blood with any present Lakers, I don't see why he wouldn't get the compliance from the players.
