Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but does anyone else agree that there are some seriously weird sexual undertones with a man whipping his 16-year old daughter like that? I'm surprised he didn't tie her up and pull down her pants. Really creepy.
Out of all the other things said in this thread, this might be the one I disagree with the most? Angry? Yes. Sexual? wuhh?
Although that is nothing more than conjecture, a lot of men equate sex with power, and in his position of power it would certainly not be ludicrous to suggest he gains some sort of physical gratification from domination of women.
I did not feel as if there was a sexual undertone to it. There certainly can be though. Now, if he bent her over his lap, pulled up her skirt, and started spanking her, possibly rubbing to ease the pain of the blow...
That is exactly the vibe I got. When a grown man is yelling at a sixteen year old girl to "Bend over the ****ing bed." I don't think it's stretch to think there is a sexual dynamic going on.
It is hard not to get very offended when somebody calls you a bad parent. I spank my child, and it has been very effective. Personally, I'd love to not spank my child. I wish he would be well behaved, and listen all the time. Unfortunately other methods have had little effect. Hopefully the day will come when my disappointment becomes the real punishment.

I got into a fight in the fifth grade and the principle yanked me by the ear and dragged me acrossed the hall and into his office. It was all bruised up. I still remember the pain. If that happened today, I have no doubt there would be a lawsuit.
Did he take you home and start violently whipping you with a belt all the while taunting you with F-bombs while your frightened mother (who was also abused by him and eventually left because of it) helplessly looked on? If no, then what's your point?

The irony they will never get is that Hillary Adams showed more grit by refusing to BEND OVER THE ****ING BED and submit to her beating, than these grown men will scrounge up in a life time.
