In light of these decisions, I think it was AT LEAST reasonable to question McNair's desire to win.

I won't bother guessing. But I'll say this.

If the Texans went 11-5 and 13-3 in two of the past three seasons, including one Conference Championship appearance, I'd be a lot more stoked about a 5-3 record right now.

You forgot to mention the season between the 11-5 and 13-3 seasons. The one they went......you guessed it.......6-10.

So in the last 3 seasons, the Packers went 6-10, 11-5, then won the Superbowl. Interesting..... :)

I wonder how many of the guys from the 07 Packers team were there for the Superbowl run.

When was the last time the Texans had two 10 win seasons sandwiched around a 6-10 season? Scratch that. When was the last time the Texans had ANY 1- win seasons EVER?

In the past decade, the Packers have had 7 double-digit win seasons.

Common starters from the 2007 and 2010 Packers teams:

    QB: None
    RB: John Kuhn (FB)
    WR: Driver, Jennings, Jones
    TE: None
    OL: Chad Clifton, Daryn Colledge
    DL: Cullen Jenkins
    LB: Desmond Bishop, AJ Hawk
DB: Nick Collins, Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams

(This list does not include players who were on IR)

So yeah, not exactly a whole lot of players (maybe half?) carried over from that 13-3 season to the Superbowl... should give Texans fans a little more reason to be optimistic.

Actually, nevermind. The average NFL turnover rate after 4 years is almost 100%. So, the Packers did very well to retain that many players from that team.

I guess the moral of the story is, the Packers were able to rebuild a competitive team after their 2007 squad fell apart in a mere 2 years. So the question for us is, how far have we come since 2009?
