Going to a viewing party; don't believe this one is going to be as close as people think. LSU wins big.
If whoever loses drops below OU I'll be livid. If a 1-loss SEC team finishes below Boise State I'll be livid.
Nah, teams change every year. Whatever team they had on the field 4 years ago was different. I saw Dan Hawkins try and go to a real conference and get owned. Ever wonder why Petersen wont leave? Look, they're a good team, I'll give them that. But until they play somebody I don't want to hear it. Yes I know teams wont schedule them. Yes I know there is no way to tell who will be good 3-5 years into the future. But the fact remains -- their schedule is weak. That's that. I don't care what their excuse is. They didn't play anybody this year. I hope they FINALLY play an SEC team in the BCS. They'll be promptly sent back to where they came from, I guarantee it.
I don't need to see Boise State run trick plays (AKA pee-pee games) and send another Big 12 school packing that's for sure. Their QB had a Z on his arm. Embarrassing.
They've beat almost everybody that has dared to step in front of them over the last decade. Including some serious heavyweights. I don't want to hear this SOS crap. They've earned the reputation and the credibility as a program. The burden of proof is now on the rest of the football world to prove they can beat them, not the other way around. If you want to keep Boise State out of the BCS, then schedule them and defeat them.
I see that argument the complete opposite way. Okay, so no powerhouses are scheduling them -- its still their problem. I don't care what the excuse is, they still don't play anybody. Beating TCU and East Carolina in bowl games isn't all that sexy to me, and I've seen better OU teams than the one BSU beat lose to Kansas State.
Actually, it's not their problem, since they're doing quite well in the BCS standings. It's everybody else's problem, go beat them. Otherwise, stoofoo.
Except that given that they keep getting invited to and winning BCS games, it's really not. They've gotten what they want. You're the one that seems to have a problem with it. It's amusing that you now thing of the likely SEC Champ as weak though. I guess the SEC isn't a very good conference. Just two great teams and a bunch of scrubs? Sounds like the Big12 for the last decade.
