Innes is really, really unprofessional. I think Rich is kind of a small-minded jerk sometimes, but he has standards, and you can tell sometimes that he thinks Josh is an annoying, immature punk.
honestly, i never ever never listen to 610 anymore, unless it's Texans pregame or postgame show. i don't think i've ever heard more than a minute of Innes at any point.
I wouldn't get your hopes up for Josh getting canned. It's just like when Jerome Solomon or Richard Justice writes a stupid blog that incites a bunch of people to post responses. It creates traffic and gets more listeners for their commercial revenue. I never understood the "Yeah I HATE that guy! I was listening to him yesterday and........" I mean people actually wanted a transcript of Rich laying the smackdown last night.
it's not the first time Rich has jumped on Josh before. But yea, wanna be Josh's shock-jock schtick would be much better suited as a zookeeper rather than a sports talk shot host.
You know what's weird about Solomon? I hate his writing, but he's GREAT on the radio. Granted, half the time he's on the radio I'm thinking about how much I want someone to call in and smash him for his latest stupid article. But he is actually a better radio personality than writer, by far.
I don't get it either. Guys like Innes thrive on people like this. Hell, 99% of talk radio hosts do. I don't know half the guys being mentioned in this thread. I listen to Mark and John for 15 minutes on the way to the park&ride and "J and R" for 15 minutes on the way home from the park&ride. Unless you drive all day and have no other choice, I don't understand how you can listen to local sports talk all day long without wanting to start taking hostages.
Man... it pains me, but I agree. I hear him on the radio and I'm immediately put in a bad mood, then I listen and realize -- he ain't that bad. Really cool guy on the radio. Mellow and level-headed. Not the strongly-opinionated, overbearing guy you'd think he was from reading his content.
1560 is where all the non-sports related pee-pee games typically take place. I hear more about wrestling and Star Wars there than actual sports.
I can gladly say that I've only heard Innes a few times before. 790 and 1560 got 610 bumped down my presets. It only goes there by accident, on Sundays for Texans games, or during an afternoon where Charlie P is out and some horrible fill in is there and I won't listen to the Travis national show. Because of my limited experience with Innes I don't feel qualified to vote for him. For me its a tie between Travis Rogers (national program based out of Houston on 1560) and Dylan. Travis isn't annoying the way Dylan is, I just never enjoy his show. It's national, it's got that douchey Jim Rome vibe to it, repeating his same lines over and over and laughing and then rephrashing it again. Just don't like that style. Dylan's show can be entertaining sometimes and downright god awful other times. He is really an extreme for me, but I can deal with him more now that he's limited to one hour.

Half the people on Clutchfans listens to 610. I like how he adds his true feelings in there by expanding "anyone who listens is an idiot" to "basically an idiot AND uneducated trash".
