Well, that's fine and dandy......but does he audible??? Ah HA!!! I got you there. Score. ima from the top of the key, and.......YES. Nothing but net. We'll take a timeout and be right back after this message from Prell Concentrate.
That's what i'm thinking. Some teams audible by just using one word so it's not as easy to spot when watching. And, as it's been routinely explained by the texans, they go up to the line with one or 2 audible calls so you're not going to see a Peyton-like 'drawn-in-the-sand' type play.
The audible thing drives me crazy. Kubiak has debunked the idea that Schaub doesn't audible for years now. Charlie P has to beat this dead horse about once a week to some caller who brings it up. Schaub has the freedom to audible and he does it. Every time he goes to the line he has the called play and an audible he can check into at the line.
It stems from Schaub's first season here where he was not allowed to audible at the line. What callers fail to realize is this had nothing to do with Schaub and everything to do with Kubiak. Kubiak's offense is very well designed. We all love it. As a coach though, he learned a few bad traits under Shanny and one of them was hubris. It took him time as a head coach to let go of things like play calling and giving his QB freedom at the line. He let Matt have audible freedom and he gave up some of the play calling responsibilities. None of this had anything to do with Matt not being able to read defenses.
Oh, so we should just take the word of a few fans. Gotcha....good enough for me your honor ! String em up ! DD
The head coach, offensive lineman on the radio, the quarterback himself, the media people who talk to the Texans (Charlie, Lance, Adam that I recall) all have debunked the myth. But, DD has planted his flag.
absolutely. If there is any criticism about this it's that Kubes was/is too restricting. Matt reads the defenses pretty well, i'm not sure how anyone could argue that.
it's not enough coming out of the actual players' and coaches mouths. you need a link to refute something you don't even have proof to be true (that Schaub doesn't audible) in the first place. that's a good one.
Sure it would be enough, send me a link that shows it is coming out of the players and coaches mouths. DD
4 different people have verified hearing the same information from the same trustworthy sources, firsthand. You, on the other hand have exactly nothing supporting your claim. You also have the burden of proof. Don't jump into an argument if you don't know how to argue.
But these people all have an agenda to keep the truth from the public. See, this way they get an edge. When opposing teams hear Schaub yell something, they'd think he's audibling. But in actuality Schaub is just yelling random gibberish. But DD knows the truth. And no coverup by the Texans will keep him from getting to the truth that Schaub actually never audibles.
